I almost never take off my '94 Aggie ring. Might not be clothing, but I feel naked without it...so I'm counting it.

Ostrich Cowboy boots that I bought after I got hired on my 1st adult job in 2003. Besides my truck and guns, single most expensive clothing item i bought myself. Still cannot believe I spent $500 on boots.

I'd say that ~$22 / year is a pretty good investment in good boots!

I also still wear a Carhartt jacket that I got sometime in the mid-90s, it's still in great shape.

I have a pair of shorts from 1999. Jacked a pair of sweats from a bf at the time & years later cut off the legs. Still wear them around the house.

An uncle gave me his jean jacket from the 70s. Still wear it from time to time, has that "vintage" look.

I still have my original 1998 Maroon Out shirt with "The Zone" on the back. I still wear it to at least one game every year.

What did the SHARPs wear to the rock and punk shows in Houston in the 90's? Tan Doc Marten's with blue laces or was it yellow laces?

I remember some purple too, but it's been a long time and probably depended on whatever cheesy little clique they were in. I think the other guys mostly wore red or black.

I don't think I have anything more than 10 years old that I wear regularly. I do a closet clean out every year, so I don't keep things more than a few years. The oldest thing I have is a 1994 Houston Rockets NBA championship hat, but I rarely wear it. I have a Tommy Bahama Christmas Hawaiian shirt that I wear once a year that's almost 20 years old.

I had a 2007 Maroon Out T-shirt I wore pretty regularly until last year when I finally threw it out. Finally had too many holes in it. For some reason that was the most comfortable T-shirt I've ever owned.

When I was in the 8thgrade, Rolling Stone Magazine had an add that if you sent in a clipping from that issue they would send you a RS tee shirt.

I clipped an article and sent it in. Alas, no shirt came in the mail - that I knew of.

40 years later, I was visiting my Mom and helping her clean out the attic and I found a box with old shirts in it - my mom never threw clothes away. I found a soft clear envelope with a Rolling Stone logo on it. Yup, it was my shirt. ( Thanks a lot Mom!)

I still wear it occasionally when I go to concerts.

Almost forgot I wear my great-grandfather's coat a lot when temps are between 40 - 60. I'm guessing it is from the 1980s.

If he's from Texas ... that mofo has probably been snow skiing in NM and Colorado a bunch of times ensembled with blue jeans!

That jacket can go well into the negative temps if needed

My own: a hoodie from my high school swim team from 1992. My teenage daughter wears it.

Oldest Vintage/hand me down that I wear:
vintage North Face ski parka that was my grandmother's. It is red and so gorgeous and in great condition. She left an MIT keychain as a zipper pull (my grandfather went to MIT) which I thought was so cute.

Vintage corduroy blazer from the 60s. Was my mother's.

To regularly wear this hat is…a real choice.

It's like something Shane Gillis would wear in Australia.

Last year, I discovered my T-Shirt collection from the 90's that I forgot I had. A&M stuff, concert t-shirts, random other shirts that have that obvious 80s/90s style. None of it fits me anymore, but my teenage kids regularly wear them now.

I bought a Zenga dress shirt in New York around 2006 that I used to wear a lot. I need to lose about 10 lbs to be able to start comfortably wearing it again, but it is in almost the same condition as it was back then. Amazing quality.

Oh definitely. It's amazing how long they'll last if you don't wear em out in the washing machine.

Remember it was the 70s. People did things we wouldn't do today.
Also, I don't think wore this regularly. This seems to be something you wore at a picnic or something like that. I still have it with me as I remember it from my childhood and one of my dad's possessions.

(I know this goes against the OP)

I remember hearing the line in TV/Movies from an older character, "I have clothing older than you", and I always thought it was just a line. And then I realized how old some of my grandpa's, and then my dad's clothes were.

Now I have plenty of coats, boots, cold-weather gear from the early 1990s, and then a whole lot of dress shirts, sweatshirts, coats, etc from the late 90s. If you don't change in size, you just have a depressing closet that really never needs anything.

I did just pull on a pair of jeans that aren't my oldest clothing, but they made me laugh because they were from Steve & Barry's, and it was low quality 25(?) years ago or so when I got them. They got their ceremonial last day wearing before getting tossed out.

They made a shirt for that?

Updated for the cold weather. Still wear an incredibly warm Woolrich coat that I bought in the summer of '98. Found it in a little camping store in DFW. I'm sure it was 100 degrees that day but the coat was on sale for $40. Best purchase ever.

Sidenote: Feeling awesome today b/c both the coat and the Wranglers I'm wearing were made in the USA. The Wranglers must be 20+ years old b/c they're all made overseas now.
