I feel like I've spent all my money on my kids and haven't bought real clothes for myself in years. I need to get new shirts and I'd like suggestions on good brands without being outrageously expensive.

I like Columbia for short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts, PFG fishing shirts, and sweatshirts/pullovers.

I honestly can't remember the last time I bought any clothes that weren't from one of: Academy, Cabela's, Kohls, or 511 Tactical.

For golf polos I usually get Callaway or Under Armor, and agree with above poster of Columbia. If you live near an outlet mall that has Columbia and or Under Armor you can usually find pretty good deals, but Under Armor also has an outlet shop online as well.

I like those to. I've also been happy with the Academy Magellan brand in those type shirts.

For dress shirts, I've gotten several from Jos. A. Banks that I like and they are holding up well.

Hubs bought some untuck it shirts last summer he really likes. Polos or dress shirts. They have several fits you can try on in store to see what fit you like

He really likes Daniel Cremieux from Dillard's.

But he's picky on fit, I think it depends on what you prefer as far as fit.

There are hundreds or probably thousands of micro retailers online now that all sell "performance" polos and men's stuff. They may all source from China and Vietnam but I buy from the little guys rather than Columbia or UA these days.

Agree on this rec, at least as relating to dress or other button down shirts. All of the shirts I've bought there have fit and held up reasonably well, and I think they still occasionally run the three for $99 promotion.

I've got a couple of things from American Giant - a hoodie, a couple of pairs of sweatpants, and some slub polos All have held up pretty well in the four or five years I've had them, but you're definitely paying for the quality.

Duluth has well made comfortable clothes. They often have sales making them more affordable. I have pants from there…AKHG…very comfortable.
