lol yeah I guess that's kind of hipster of me. I still love them I just mean it's not as unique to stop anymore now that there are so many locations.

Still the best place to stop though.

I was telling a friend recently that when I was little I used to collect pins from the places my family would go. You could do that with bucees shirts now. At least in texas. So I still think they're fun and really enjoy them

It's a gas station. It's often inconvenient to go in. Maybe I'm always in a hurry and just need to use the RR. It's fine but so are plenty of other gas stations.

We always stop in and buy stupid stuff but it makes the trip more fun.

Bathrooms are great. In the mornings the line for the crapper sometimes goes out the entrance. Many hombres with a concerned looks on their faces wondering if they will get a stall in time…light beads iof sweat forming on their faces: stay away from this line; do not make eye contact as they are focused on their mission…

Overrated for what?
Gas pumps always available? Check
Impeccably clean restrooms? Check
Always functioning properly (and cold) drink dispensers? Check
Incredible amount of variety in road trip snacks and always fully stocked? Check
Never more than a 30 second wait on the checkout line? Check

Maybe you expect something different out of your gas station convenience store but they hit grand slams every time for serving their purpose. So maybe you think the beaver thing is cheesy or whatever? WGAS? Don't buy that stuff.

I rarely buy fountain drinks from gas stations so I don't know, but most Whataburger have Coke Zero in the fountain. It is not like fountain Coke Zero is some sort of unicorn beverage.
