Ranking of fast food fried chicken.
I've had Gus's a few times and it's 10 out of 10. Popeyes is the only fast food fried chicken I'll get.
Ad Hoc is amazing. The only problem is it takes 3 days to make it at home. Royers in Round Top on Sundays is right there.

I don't eat Fried Chicken. I have never been to like 90% of the places listed.

I'll eat a drumstick if I have to, but that's about it.
The other day at Midieval Times I must have been the only person in the building that didn't get a drumstick attached to their chicken...needless to say, I didn't touch it.

Not as much as I used to. I get tired of them and have to rotate to something else. Lately it's been mostly Hormell chili with beans.

Laynes is good as long as it is one of the new franchise ones, the original in college station is garbage.
What is "gross" about chicken, other than being inferior to beef?

If in DFW, you have to try Babe's.
I used to be a huge Popeye's fan. Popeye's fried chicken is fantastic still when the stars align, but every year that gets to be fewer and fewer times. They seem to have a management problem.

I freaking love some fried dinosaur, but I have to eat it in moderation. I usually would go for Bush's or Golden chick or chicken express. Bonus if I can get fried okra as a side.

Chicken Express and Golden Chick are fantastic. CE fried fish is surprisingly good.
Did anyone else grow up eating at Grandy's? A quick google tells me they were bought by Captain D's in 2011 and there are only 23 locations left.

Though I would all of them pretty close to each other. Sometimes it's just location or luck of the draw, especially with Popeyes.
I do note that I love white meat fried...breasts and wings, much more than dark meat. But roasted is the opposite...give me the leg quarter off a rotisserie chicken every time.
