Will you look at those morons. I paid my taxes over a year ago.
I get paycheck withholding, quarterly payments, and still write a check 4/15. So nice that half of our country gets to pay no net taxes.
April 15th is the day I hate liberals and the poor the most.
Wife didn't update withholding after changing jobs last year. This one's going to sting.

I only overpaid by $2,800 this year. I still paid enough in taxes for a decent used car or one week at the Learing Center.

My wife did some contract work for a different company in between jobs after being laid off. That wasn't fun to add in
One of "those" cousins was talking about her tax refund (or "getting her taxes" as she says) on FB and it really irked me. At the end of 2025 she had two kids (2 and 4) and was working on the third that was born in Feb 2026. Because of the pregnancy she didn't work a much last year because she would call in sick repeatedly to take herself or the kids to the ER if they had a cough and eventually get fired from whatever crappy job she had.
She claims to have gotten a refund north of $10K and I highly doubt she even made that much in income. Add in medicaid, food stamps, her subsidized apartment, highly subsidized daycare (for three kids now) and I bet she is a net drain on the real taxpayers of $120K-$140K in a given year. But she does proudly wave her flag and claim she is raising her kids "all by herself" even though her parents are basically on-demand babysitters (very frequently) for when she needs "me time" and also an ATM machine for when she can't afford her bills or a car repair.
Dammit, now I'm mad again.

Last few years our return hasn't been filed until late June. I imagine the same for this year.

No one ever wants to check that box on the W4 that says your spouse also works. I saw a CPA on reddit say you can put a gun to their head and tell them to check that box and they will stick their touge out and try to use it to pull the trigger.

Our tax lady had ours drafted on April 1.
At first it seemed like I didn't have to write as big of a check this year however, I realized that made quarterly estimated payments so really we did.

Income tax is theft, but I guess racketeering is ok when the federal government does it. And thanks to the Democrats, some of my earnings go to support useless, 3rd world, illegal alien leeches rather than improving infrastructure. But yay feelz.

Yeah, I love the rule that says if you pay estimated taxes throughout the year and are not within 90% of the actual number you get fined and have to pay interest on the penalty for the time it takes them to tell you.
