You may have heard of Cocaine Bear, and Cocaine Shark. But now, researchers in Australia and Sweden measured salmon's response to cocaine and found that it makes them swim faster.

Ostensibly, this study was done out of concern about increased pharmaceutical pollution in the world's waterways. But I'd like to think that it was the idea of a grad student who caught by a police officer and hastily devised a "scientific experiment" on the spot to justify his possession of cocaine.
