"Barack Obama's chili has become something of a family tradition. Michelle Obama has spoken fondly about making large batches of it while living in Chicago, inviting friends and relatives to gather and share a meal together. Over time, it became known simply as "the President's Chili Recipe."

"The flavor profile has often been described as Midwestern in style, but there are distinctive elements that set it apart. Unlike many traditional chili recipes that are served on their own, the Obamas prefer serving theirs over white or brown rice.

I think he liked Cincinnati Skyline chili so he is extremely suspect. I can't see him downing spicy Texas chili like President Johnson.

"Pork and apple pie is a classic savory dish pairing tender pork with sweet-tart apples, often featuring sage, onion, and a buttery pastry crust. Popular variations include British-style pies with pork shoulder, cider, and gravy, or layered pies featuring potatoes. It is best made with firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp."

Definitely not mom's apple pie.

That's one of the most overplayed schticks of all time when it comes to food. Chili with beans is fantastic. Chili without beans is fantastic. Chili is fantastic. Skyline chili is an abomination and in fact, not chili. All of these are true.

Spoon bread is another one on there i haven't had in decades. It's really good when done well.

Chili with beans is fantastic soup. Chili without beans is fantastic. (Deleted. Chili without beans is redundant as chili does not contain beans. Otherwise, the can that says "chili with beans" would just say "chili".) Chili is fantastic. Skyline chili is an abomination and in fact, not chili. All of these are true.

Taft got as heavy as 396 pounds, and literally got stuck in a bathtub in the White House. Fattest President.

Oddly enough, I only know one person personally who seems to think chili should be served over rice and they grew up in Hawaii where Obama claims to have been born.

But the person in question also claims to have been vegetarian since age 6 so apparently she really just grew up eating beans and rice. She might as well have been from the valley or southern Louisiana.
