Good date night with the wife last night. First time visit to a nice restaurant in Navasota and then tried their rooftop bar for live music but the music wasn't our thing.

Went to the hotel a couple doors down to their speakeasy and heard some nice jazz.

Treating the wife to breakfast.

Gotta work some today.

Will call mom later and see how she is doing.

So many chores to do at the house. Have to prioritize.

Beautiful sunny Mother's Day in west Georgia/east Alabama as we uncharacteristically skip church and Mrs. UTExan continues recovery from surgery. Kids/grandkids will be by later so I am getting in my quiet time with coffee now.

-Church. And Diet Coke.
-an hour of travel work
-Took my mom to Casa do Brasil
-About to hopefully take a fat nap.
-Gotta do lots of travel work the rest of the day after said nap. But will be doing it while drinking wine.

- Woke up around 7:30 but rotted in bed until about an hour ago bc nothing to do - fabulous!
- Just ate one of my favorite comfort meals in Dallas with 3 drinks in front of me because why not?
- Good time with my family last night at my younger niece's wedding reception. She is an exceptional human. Very proud of her.
- Looking forward to sitting around with my sister later. Sad that we all live in different places but grateful for the time I get.
