  • Rain!!!! Round 2 moving through after round 1 at 3 am
  • With The Wife out of town, I pulled my truck about 95% into the garage to avoid hail
  • Step daughter's neck fusion surgery went fine in Houston
  • Complete a work project
  • MRI for me at 6:30 this evening

Rain and more rain, but no one is complaining. Wish my tanks were bigger so could catch more of it. They are completely full. 800 gallons. Already making plans to increase by 1000. It will be dry again soon.

Woke up really late today (8am eastern time) so the body must have needed sleep here in the southeast. Now it needs good Colombian coffee.

Went to bed at a semi-decent hour

Woke up around 1:30am to the storm but went back to sleep immediately

Slept hard until alarm

7am and 8am meetings were good

-In the office early.
-Left by 8:20. Trying to get to Vegas earlier. I originally had a 6:40 pm flight. Got that changed to 5pm.
-Now standby for the 11:55AM flight. If I get it I have a feeling I will be stuck in a middle seat. That won't be fun but I'll take it getting there 5 hours earlier.
-Got a shot at the next one if I don't make it on this one.

Still gotta work once I get settled at airport. And on the plane.

Make today a great one!


Edited - not likely I will make the 11:55AM flight. When I got on the list it showed I was 1st on standby. Now looks like I'm 5th. Probably should have paid for the United Club rather than just dropping $$$ on a food/drink out in the main area.

I miss Vegas! And it's only been 3 months since I was there. Safe travels and have a great time!

-On vacation this week I'm the Pacific Northwest

-Early morning trip to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic NP

-Eating lots of good seafood and talking some scenic drives

-I'm a firm believer that the National Parks System is one of the greatest things this country has ever done
