Baseball regionals start today! This is my favorite sports day of the year. BTHO Lamar! I am irritated that our first game is against my hometown Cards. I went to games at Vincent-Beck long before I'd ever set foot in Olsen. So many nights spent watching the sea fog roll in from the south (CF faces southeast).

Today is the day that I enter my goals into our system at work. At the end of the fiscal year, part of my evaluation will be to what degree I've met these goals. Our company encourages you to use the goals that they provide. They're written in business speak, don't really mean anything substantive, and can be interpreted any number of ways. At the end of the year, they're pretty easy to write to... if you can write creatively.

Other than the goals thing, I'm more or less killing time for a few hours, and then baseball!

Today is May 29th. When I worked for Essilor, a job I deeply enjoyed and miss very much, our goals were due at the end of May for the fiscal year which was also CY. Our GOALS were due by the middle of the year?! Never made any sense to me. It really just allowed us to manipulate the **** out of them to ensure we reached them. Whatever though, my bonuses were amazing.

- Sitting on the porch stairs waiting on Fernando to get here with the motor so he can install and I can be back on God's good side with air conditioning.
- I am a very big ***** baby and become grumpy and uncomfortable in weather above 80 degrees. Hence why I love Midwest winters.

I have no one else to talk to right now and you all are my audience, un/fortunately. This post is now my diary.

I really love my dog. Like, really really, a lot a lot. She is so perfect for me as a dog owner, even though she's just a puppy still. She helps build my patience (which I have very little), but she does it in a way that makes me want to smother her because she's so cute. She's currently just sitting in the yard watching birds and squirrels and bugs in the grass and I could eat her, I am so overcome with love for her. She is perfect and beautiful and if any harm ever comes to her I will put 100% of my resources toward recovery and then revenge and destruction.

lol no, *I* am putting money into an HVAC system that should be put out to pasture. I'm gonna try and get another year out of it (almost) and give us more time to shop for a new system and get a good price - that he will eventually pay for. Mark's theory is that it will be cheaper in the winter (I don't agree) but it was either this or wait 2 weeks without ac for the install and I spend more money on a hotel room for that duration.

We have some room for improvement. She LOVE Gus and he is extremely patient with her. But she wants him to play with her and he just wants to lay down so she stands nearby and barks at him until someone (me) intervenes. Then she cools it. I get it, he's a really great cat.

I believe Montreal is about 50% English speaking. The rest of Quebec is overwhemingly French. Although Tanya and I spent a few days in Quebec City back in July 2003, and most of the people working in the bars and restaurants seemed to be American. It was a strange experience. We had a phrase book but really never had to use it.

This is all I've got so far but my summer goal is to get one of them together. Usually I'm managing the dog so haven't been able to take a pic during.
