Good guitar lesson last night. Instructor and I went down a Hendrix rabbit hole. Steve Vai and Joe Satriani said in their interview with Rick Beato that the solo on the live version of "Machine Gun" In their favorite ever and is the voice of God. We had to check it out, and you can definitely hear how that solo influenced them and others.

It will take a LOT of practice to learn most Hendrix songs. Time is the problem here.

They know what they did.

Went to grocery store yesterday and bought the place out. Decided I'm going to start cooking all my own meals and be healthy. Fresh vegetable based things, nothing processed or with artificial preservatives. Fresh chicken. Fresh fish. Good stuff.

Got in the car this morning and realized I'd forgotten to take the groceries inside and the cold stuff was saamp ass warm.

I'm such a dope.

No I'm just fat and ugly and one of those is fixable through lifestyle modification. To make up for the other one I'll have to develop some sort of personality.

Once Benny wakes up (at 11), I'm taking him to Hy-Vee to get a meningitis vaccine. He can't start his senior year without it. Then I have to take proof of vaccination and a Social Security form to the high school (they have to verify to SSA that he's still a student). I'm wondering what the chances are that both of the people I need to see will be there.

I'm also wondering if they'll have their usual metal detector setup going. One of the three high schools in town (Battle H.S.) has a violence problem, so all three high schools got the same security setup. It's like no one wanted to embarrass them... "Midwest Friendliness".

I mean, they did name it Battle High School
