• Tired.
• Was dealing with the destination wedding last night at 11:30PM. Took me awhile to fall asleep after that. Woke up at 6.
• Drive to Dripping Springs today for softball. 3 game today, 3-4 games tomorrow.
• Travel work in between games.
• Hubs finally comes home after 13 days in Vegas. Stinks for him that he has to drive from IAH to Dripping Springs. We normally play in the Houston area.
• Lots of caffeine today.
• Hotel is 30 min away from DS cause they were stupid expensive.

Nice Saturday morning starting in the land of ubiquitous Waffle Houses. Which is good because rain is coming next week. Because while it can bring rainy nights in Georgia, the rain in Plains will stay mainly in the lanes and perhaps help spur the growth of trichomanes.

Finally caught some trout last night, but they were too small. However, it sure is cool to see the C Monster's eyes light up when she has a fish on. No Flounder gigging. Just never got calm and clear enough. That's ok! Everyone is having fun.

Going to boil shrimp later today.

Guitar practice was slow last night. Jimi was the man. I am not quite to his skill level yet

Got another inch of rain yesterday. It's pretty wet in the yard!

Hoping for good weather on this short trip

- Picked up sourdough cinnamon rolls from a local baker
- Got some coffee at the coffee shop where the local baker parks it for pre-order pick-ups
- Grabbing my purpydog to head to puppy class. This is class 4/6 and she is just too old for puppy class. The other puppies are learning to walk on a leash. But I paid for it (not much) so I guess I'll continue.

Eighty-two years ago Rudder's Rangers took the cliffs of Pointe du hoc. Forty-two years ago President Reagan went there to honor them.

My son has to do volunteer hours for school, too. He has signed up for Vacation Bible School this summer and has been assigned to the snacks team, which he said was four old ladies in their 80's. I told him the only reason he was assigned to that team was so that he would have to do all the lifting and carrying. I told him if he really wanted to impress these old ladies, he should tell them he is thinking about going to college to be a preacher.

He's a good man and dad. I know he is going to be exhausted. And our hotel is 36 minutes from the ball field. Yuck.

I hate playing in dripping springs. Crowded town, no hotels close by and the fields at the park are packed in tight and you have to dodge foul balls all day.

If it was over in 3 hours the title of the movie is really misleading. It really wasn't The Longest Day. It should have taken more than 24 hours.
