  • More rain - over 16" now in the last ~3 weeks
  • The "close" lightning strike yesterday was across the street and one house down. Insulation blown off the roof in the attic, all breakers popped, but no fire at the neighbor's. THAT's why it was so loud.
  • The Wife got a new car yesterday - Pathfinder Platinum
  • Chicken and ribs on the pit early
  • The Wife leaves for at least 3 more weeks of nurse duty helping my step daughter after neck surgery

Slept until 7am. Could have slept later but wife was noisy

Baby shower yesterday was a fun time. Saw old friends and a beautiful subdivision full of lovely expansive homes. And met some new people, including a gal that looked familiar but I couldn't place her until I realized she looks like Heather Graham

Wife wanted breakfast from Hullabaloo Diner so that's what we had. It was tasty

Some work today

Worked from 9:30 pm to 1 am on work paperwork. Went to sleep to continue today.
Spent an hour just now finishing current assignment. While it's enjoyable using and learning our new software platform it has so many redundant tasks requests that is annoying. I hope to streamline how I use the platform. It is easily requiring twice the time I think it should require. I love creating new timesavers but DETEST routine paperwork that seems like grunt work - I need to change my attitude.

Today I'm going to watch game two of the CWS 90 minutes after the start. Clean and organize day.

-Slept okay.
-Church and a Diet Coke
-Stopped by Kroger and got 3 of the smaller balloons. 2 for my heavenly dad for his grave (bday yesterday) and one for father in law.
-Sat with my dad for awhile, talking and crying. Normally, I bring a towel and sit on the ground, but it was so very wet so had to sit in the chair. It's his 3rd bday/Father's Day since he passed.
-Roadhouse lunch to go and went and ate with FIL and MIL.
-Should have come home to work but just couldn't get into it. Laid down for awhile. Just been lazy the rest of the time.
-Hubs got Chinese and I got Gringos kids meal and caddy marg to go
-TV with hubs in a bit.

I hope all the fathers out there had a wonderful day.

Very cool you had 4 generations together scd!

This was the last time we had 4 generations in a photo. My grandmother in law, MIL, me, kiddo. 2013.
