I got this e-mail today. This is from the John Evans Band listserve. They're messin' with my man!

Just wanted to tell all you music lovers that there is some "hot" musical equipment floating around somewhere. John parked the trailer in front of "the cave" on Sunday and high-tailed it to Schrader Hall in Victoria for a gig. It was just John and Billy Beeson. Great show in Victoria for a huge crowd.....place was full according to John.....but alas when they got back the trailer was gone along with the stand-up bass, the bass amp, the drums and all ancillary equipment, the small amp and speakers, monitors, etc., and all sorts of cords, mikes, etc. Several thousand dollars worth of equipment. What a bummer....what with this being the busy season for musicians. The trailer was insured but not the contents. The police are supposed to float a list of the stolen goods to pawn shops, etc., so maybe we will be lucky. Right now I am thinking of the one-eyed, one-legged dog named "Lucky."&! nbsp;
There is supposed to be an equivalent or greater benefit hidden in every adversity. Hope it will become apparent soon. John says some of his musical buddies are gonna help put on a benefit in a week or so at The Firehouse to try to raise some money to replace the lost stuff.
It was a fun time at the Ranch Style Beans Tent at the cook-off on Friday and Saturday. Sorry about the bum scoop as to which tent they were in. John gave me the wrong numbers and we were gone all week-end working a trade show so couldn't get back to the computer to straighten it out.
John says they are gonna make their gigs someway......borrow stuff, etc. So check 'em out at Edy's Urban Ice House on Wednesday. I will keep you posted on the trailer saga and anything else worth talking about. And remember, if someone trys to make you a good deal on a slightly scorched stand-up bass, or a drum set with "JEB" on it, hog tie 'em with some of the mike cords, etc., and call us.
Hope to see you all soon.
