that was awesome. i love walt's transformation.

and i have to say, the addition Saul as a character has been absolute money this season.

Saul is great, hes effing hilarious. I cant wait to see what happens with that pool scene and the dead bodies and all. That last episode was tough to watch tho with jane relapsing and all cause of jesse. What the hell were they shooting up anyway, speedball? that schit grosses me out.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
jane is a full blown junkie. i bet she is 1 of the bodies in the pool scene. walt won't tolerate her blackmailing him. and jesse's addiction and irresponsibility are getting to be more trouble than jesse is worth. jesse might be the other body at walt's pool.

agree, the lawyer is a hoot. where was brother in law and his wife?, i think they add alot of texture to the show. getting a bad feeling about sylar and her boss. could skylar take the fall for the embezzelment?? she would need big time lawyer$?? and walt is a mobile atm.

sounded like the meeting w/ the chicken guy fell thru. how can walt sell that much product? next season walt gets involved w/ the mexican drug cartels. they r only 2 hrs away in ciudad juarez.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
damn, i dont know if you have inside info, but all of what you said sounds like that is what will happen.

I never thought about jesse and jane being the bodies but with her trying to blackmail him and all in the next episode...Walt is getting darker and darker. Forgot about hank, that was the first episode he wasnt in i think. Hes Excellent comedic relief.

a forensics auditor could prove that walt/skylar r spending a ton more $$$ than they r showing on their 1040. the federales might think skylar was embezzelling to finance walt's treatment. timing would be the issue. skylar's boss could lay most of it on her, just say she was showing him how to steal and hide it from the feds b4 she actually went to work.

boss just asks the q, where did the $$$ come from?? had to come from his company, or walt has to fess, not gonna happen. walt is too twisted now to go back. and their r several dead bodies to account for.

I wondered about them hanging the embezzling on Skylar, but it seems kind of wierd that she would embezzle, leave for a while, and then come back? After finding out Walt needs another +/- $200K operation, I really thought maybe she was getting tempted to get in on the drill, or blackmail touchy hands man for it.

Walt is just becoming more and more of a sociopath every episode. i thought that just for a moment that he was going to deal with the situation himself, and when he picked up the needle thats what i thought was going to happen, until she rolled on her back like that. Walts look while just standing there was just classic Walt.

cant wait for next week.

I think the best part of the episode was Walt realizing that Jesse was like family and he saw letting Jane die as a way to show Jesse it's time to sober up. Jane was bad for Jesse and not the other way around.

Interesting, yet bummed to hear about season 3 if that's confirmed. The one opening this season with the Mexican rockers was fun and I figured it was foreshadowing (like the pool/teddy bear stuff), but knowing the Mexican cartel story line is the basis for next year makes me wonder if we'll get closure on the pool/teddy bear foreshadowing...

Bummed we only get one more this season.

this episode was the best this season, even better than the last. if the finale is half as good, it's gonna a great finale. can't wait to see what happens.

still can't believe walt let her die, but it's her own fault for trying to intimidate him.

This show has been nothing short of an acting clinic by a veteran and rookie. Cranston and Paul have blown me away w/ their talents this season.

The thing I have liked most about this show is that it has forced me to think about how far I would go if I was in a tough spot like Walt.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
just speculating about walt cooking for the mexican drug carels, but it would make sense.

walt's "everyman" has me wondering if i would do the same thing in the same circustances, or has walt crossed a line i wouldn't have crossed, don't know.

interesing that jesse has seen the devastation caused by meth, while making meth is just a lucrative chemical experiment to walt. maybe next yr walt gets to see the meth devastation up close and personel.

still think dale dickey, the skank, is emmy material. she was just great, as were cranston and "jesse"

can't wait for next week.

another great scene was when Walt had the new baby and showing her the cash and telling her "look what Daddy did for you".

I also thought it was interesting that Walt would not give Jesse his half of the loot until he sobered up, then the girlfriend stepped in. Of course they had to have one last trip before splitting.

now Walt jr.'s web site will become the money laundry scheme Wlat needs to use the cash, does the DEA\FBI investigate somehow?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
walt seems to be holding on to his last strings of morality by keeping the money away from jesse. he doesnt want to see him shoot 500k up his arm. somehow this makes him feel like he is still doing the right thing rather than poisoning a subset of the population.

the amazing development of his character is shown in these moments. he is too proud to beg, but too much of a newly minted sociopath to go back now. he's tasting power he only dreamed of - especially as his talents were wasted as a chem teacher.

man i effing love this show. I am so anxious to see the finale, what will happen with the wensite and all cause it seems like walt doesnt want everyone to know HIS fortune came from handouts. I went forward a few days on the DVR to see what the description of the next episode is, and it seems donald (janes father) is going to go crazy and be part of a tragedy. (maybe hes responsible for the pool/teddy bear scene).

I missed the first five minutes of last week's episode and have a question.

I got that Walt made the drop and successfully cashed in, but that he also missed the birth of his daughter. What was his excuse to Skylar for ignoring her calls that she was in labor and missing, or did they address that? It seemed like they were closer as a couple than they have been all season so whatever he told her must have worked.

That was some of the best acting I've ever seen, especially from Jesse. Damn good episode tonight, and a great finale. If there was anything that was just a slight disappointment, it was the last few seconds.

**SPOILERS**

The plane crash seems like too much of a coincidence to be Jane's dad's fault, and the way they built it up, I expected it to be 2 major characters in those body bags. Then again, I guess it's a good thing. There wasn't any character I was ready to see go.

I kept hoping/expecting Walt to keep his pimp hand strong when Skyler got in his face.

As soon as we were shown that Jane's dad directed air traffic, I just said "OH SHI-!"

Good finale. And while it seems like a stretch on the airplane crash (nice NTSB foreshadow from the intro), coincidences do happen so it being stretched for this show is okay.

While I somewhat wanted the bodybags to be Skyler + someone else to have Walt lose what caused him to go down this messed up road, it was a great head fake. It was a superb, season-long head fake. All of us thought it was some type of drug related incident at the White household only to find out at the beginning of the season finale that it was some type of airplane crash. They end the episode with us knowing no one in Walt's family dies as a result of the crash. Greatness.

Thought it was great when Walt's picture was on the target under the Wanted sign as the bucket was being passed at the DEA office. Also loved the drug lord sponsoring the DEA fun run.

While it wasn't the crazy ride the past few weeks have been, I really enjoyed it and I'm ready for season 3.

The whole airplane crash thing seemed a bit cheesy in the context of the otherwise high level of writing.

+3 on this, I thought it was a bit of a stretch and the build up for it all season, it not quite jumping the shark but a bit of a let down.

I did like how Walt hated hearing the cash register ding on the computer everytime money was "donated".

Was anyone else starting to think that skyler was gonna find everything out and threaten to go to the cops? I almost thought Walt might try to kill her, but then I thought...nah, there's no way Walt has fallen that much. At least not yet.

I also considered the ending to be too coincidental, but I can understand what they were going for.

This is an interview with the show's creator:

quote:
I want to start with the ending, with the planes colliding over Walt's house. When I saw that the season premiere was called "Seven Thirty-Seven," my initial thought was, "Well, this must have something to do with an airliner." And then instead it turns out to be the amount he thinks he needs to leave behind for Skyler. But now we have an actual 737, or something like it, crashing in Walt's backyard. Was that intentional?

Yes it is. And you are the first person to make that connection. Not only that, but if you look at the names of all the episodes, in particular the episodes that have the strange black and white teaser, they spell out a hidden message.

What's that?

Seven Thirty-Seven Down Over ABQ.

Wow. That's cool.

We came up with the number $737,000 dollars, then we reverse-engineered the math. And then the next episode where you have the same black and white teaser, it was called "Down."

When I saw "Over," I just assumed the title referred to Walt assuming his career as a drug dealer was over.

We worked very hard to give them proper dual meanings. So "Over" was over, and in "Down," Jesse was down and out, that's the one where he fell through the blue stuff in the toilet. "ABQ," I don't know what (else) that means, but you go with it.

So what's the point of the ending, in your mind? Why is judgment falling from the sky onto Walt?

In simple terms, we just wanted a giant moment of showmanship to end the season. And what better way than to have a rain of fire coming down around our protagnoist's ears, sort of like the judgment of God? It seemed like a big showmanship moment, and to visualize, in one fell swoop, all the terrible grief that Walt has wrought upon his loved ones, and the community at large.

quote:
Walt has brought this on himself, not just in terms of karma, but in terms of setting in motion the chain of events that led to this crash. Walt recruited Jesse as his partner, which led to Jesse losing his grandmother's house, which led to him moving in next door to Jane. Walt is the one who pressured Jesse to expand their operation, which led to Combo's death, which led to Jesse luring Jane off the wagon, and in turn to Jane introducing Jesse to heroin. Walt is the one who, in trying to shake Jesse awake, caused Jane to roll over onto her back before she began to vomit, and he's the one who declined to save her life when given the opportunity, which in turn led to Jane's father being too consumed by grief to properly do his job as an air-traffic controller...
