Ok, this one's kinda tricky. I'm a bit of an insomniac, so I need movies that (while good), are slow enough to put me to sleep.

Movies I like for this are like Michael Clayton. Kinda dark, lots of dialog, etc..

Any other suggestions?

And not just suck movies. The Tourist puts me to sleep every time, but that movie isn't one I'll even attempt to watch anymore. It blows.

That awful Miami Vice movie from a few years ago. Most boring action movie I've ever seen...

I was also put to sleep by Syriana. I don't think I've ever seen the end of that movie.

The Borne movies. Put it on low volume and TA-DAH! My roommates and I used to watch these Saturday mornings after having parties at our casa in college. Dark, quiet for the most part, lots of dialog.

damn, some good ones in here. i've used ronin before but hadn't thought about Bourne.

Funny enough, i just tried Gods & Generals and I was out in 20 min.

Again, I'm not looking for craptastic movies. Just good ones that help you sleep.

Tron would be good because of the soundtrack.

Any Darren Aronofsky movie, especially Requiem. The music is hypnotic.

Ronin +4 (always works).
LOTR (lots of dialog and soothing music)

I also use movies with narrators like Fletch, Blade Runner, Salem's Lot (Rob Lowe version).

Any of the Twilight movies. Tried to be a good husband and watch them with the wife, but I fell asleep 30 minutes in.

Dreary, northwestern weather + crappy story + meant for women = sleep

Twice in my life I have attempted to watch Out of Africa, and both times i have fallen asleep.

This was a conscious choice to watch this movie and I couldn't stay awake.

Basically anything Michael Mann has ever put out. Heat and Collateral are GREAT movies, but i still love to fall asleep to them. Same with Miami Vice, which I actually really liked. Public Enemies sucked but seems like a good movie to fall asleep to.
