2. I need to rewatch, but when did Saul give Huell the signal to lift the weed or is this something that Huell just does on his own?

Saul walked out of the room to get a bag for Jesse to carry all the cash. That is when he told Huell to lift the pot (and where it was on Jesse).

There have been so many scenes in this show where characters faces have been perfectly 50/50 in shadow and light. I always thought it was a way to symbolize them getting darker. Has this ever been brought up in some article or discussed by Vince?

I read an article about the use of lighting and shadows a few seasons back, specifically in the episode when Walt bought the .38 snub from the gun dealer. The article walked us through each scene and showed how Walt's apartment was dark and shadowy because it was a place of sadness and evil, while scenes with Walt Jr were brighter and had no shadows, which symbolized innocence and happier times. There were lots of other examples, but I don't remember them now.

I'd think a face covered half in shadows and half in light would symbolize a liar or "two-facedness", or a complex character with a dark side that is hidden to the public. Either way, nearly every character on this show could fit those descriptions.

I keep envisioning a scene where both Walt and Walt Jr arrive at the house while Jesse is trashing it, and Jesse holds Walt at gunpoint and makes him admit everything he's done to Walt Jr.

And to be clear, I'm not claiming it as a prediction or anything. Just something that keeps popping to my head from time to time.

Did anyone notice that Walt looked for a GPS tracker during the desert meeting - then Saul told him that he really had to get a tracker device?

Does this give any support to the theory that Saul buried a tracker with the barrels of money?

The device Saul told Walt to get was to check for tracking devices.

Maybe that's what he has in the flash forward scene that everyone thinks is a wire?

I think the "wire" is different. An "easter egg".

Remember when Jessie and Walt stole the barrel from the warehouse, back when they were getting started? some time later, the DEA gets their hands on security camera footage of that. hank watches it. In that scene, Hank has the exact same "wire" in his shirt.

Thanks to you people, I've had to go back and watch earlier episodes to see all the crap I missed, and I happened to notice that. I don't know what it means. Normally I'd think it means nothing, but with these writers I don't have a freaking clue.

Maybe Saul did add a device -- but all he needed to do is track his van to find out where it stopped. He has the coordinates. No need to put anything with the barrels.

That could be a hint as to Saul's planting a tracking device on the money run.

No, I finshed up the degree and then went to graduate school to study engineernig. It was just not for me. The whole particle/wave duality theory made my head want to explode. It wasn't that the math was hard. It was just some strange stuff to get a handle on and seemed completely made up. Einstein did not believe in any of it.

FWIW, alot of Einstein's work is crap too. His theory of relativity is based on Michaelsen/Morley's experiment disproving the existence of luminous aether, but then when asked to explain it, he comes up with some bunk about bending the time-space continuum (which is basically another name for luminous aether).

Thirty percent of guests usually order guacamole, but Corporate General Manager Warren Gaustad told TheWrap that the number has surged to 35 percent -- with many visitors specifically referencing "Breaking Bad" as the reason for their selection.

30-35%?? Some people like to use the word "surge" more loosely than others.

Jesse, whose weakness has been violence towards kids, holding Walt's kid under threat of violence? I couldn't see that coming to fruition.

agreed, but Jessie has gone off the deep end.

On Bill Simmons's last podcast with Klosterman he asked a great question. If you set the over/under at 1.5 for number of episodes left with Jesse in them, what do you take?
I'm going with under.

I will take the over on that as well. I think this next epsiode will toss a few more plot twists out there and then the last epsidoes will be the conclusions of the plot twists.

I don't get the connection here. Yeah they're both the youngest characters on the show and they both use.

The main driving characteristic in Jessie is he has remorse and grapples with the morality of what he's done. Christopher never had this. He just had animosity towards Tony. Plus he also in a sense "ratted" by making the movie and throwing the family business out there. No evidence yet in Jessie going that route.

Christopher Molisante confessed to Tony that he was high and tht if the cops showed up they would roll him over a few tiems and make him talk. He was all but telling tony to kill him.

For Jesse to do that Walt will have to turn him one more time. Hard to do with a guy that just tried to burn your house down. And the cops will almost assuredly have him in custody and putting ample pressure on him to turn.

yeah. What if Jesse accidentally kills Walt Jr during the scuffle. Absolute tragedy that could then end with Jesse offing himself and a scene with Walt grieving over his 2 lost sons. That's probably too extreme though

I get how some on this board feel like Walter loves Jesse like a son. But if Jesse were to kill Walt Jr. that would be the end of Jesse. Heisenberg would murder him in a most vicious manner.

I'm sure it's been brought up, but it is very common from the beginning for Jessie's face to be shown through a clear object, usually glass. Whatever symbolism that has I'm not sure.

RJ Mitte is on Talking Bad this week. So far, cast members have been on after major episodes for their character.

Theories as to what happens to Walt Jr this week? He finds out who his dad is? Killed? Has a huge breakfast? Crashes his Challenger and dies?
