Explain this. Because replicants are basically just humans who are grown, who are as organic as we are, just stronger and able to survive in conditions we can't. I have no doubt that nanobots or whatever will eventually be able to give us super strength, super skin, and super everything basically, but that won't require us melding with home-grown super humans.

So are you saying we're going to enslave home-grown humans in our lifetime? Wouldn't it make more sense to just use robots, like the ones Elon is creating, thus avoiding the **** storm of ethical arguments that would otherwise come up? Elaborate.

It's possible that genetically enginered humans already exist. We'd have no way of knowing.

We might wake up one day to see news that some country A has an '[illegal' colony of hybrid humans not natural to this earth. Surprise. And country B 'liberates' the hybrid humans.

No way any robot technology can fully do human tasks. Event he most high tech robot cant replicate most human tasks and move seamlessy throughout the enviornment. We way far off from that.

The technical definition of a "hybrid" is the offspring of two different species. That's different from genetically engineered, and what's confusing about what you're arguing (which still isn't clear, but whatever).

In any event, both Bladerunners are like 2001 in that not everybody nowadays have the attention span for it.

People want everything spelled out like a marvel movie and there's gotta be shooting and explosions in the first 2-mins.

With the collapse of LA and the restaurant industry we may well end up with hawker-stand noodle bars in the middle of the street.

I love Blade Runner. 2049 bored me to tears.
