It's very strange that minutes ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a show that I watched religiously (ha!) for the past 7 years is over for good. Now that I stopped sobbing I am having a very somber thought. The show is done the same month that I turn 30.... Have a serious job..... Day after day more and more incidents are making me wake up before 10:00 am (two days in a roll and counting).... Is the end of Buffy a shifting point in my life?

Someone seriously needs to pull my finger.

my wife is the same way. although she's been disappointed with this season, so i think she's sort of glad its over, so as to not tarnish the show even more.

i hope i don't feel the same about 24 anytime soon

Sometimes shows just need to end gracefully.

Friends actually hit a high note the season before this one and should have ended then. But it came back this season and is coming back next year (for it's 'final' season).

ER should have ended years ago. Noah Wyle's Carter (while a good character) is not a lead character. The show needs someone like Dr. Green or even Benton as an anchor. Now, the show is a 'best of who's left' ensemble.

Now I feel the same about 24. My favorite show right now. I'll be looking forward to one more season but then let it end. Leave me with my good memories and don't drag the show out.

I am the OP. I started this thread 20 years ago. A lot has happend to me since then. Very weird someone found it and actually brought it back to the top. I was very close to responding to myself.

I'm still sad about Buffy though.

Buffy and Angel were top tier shows to watch late at night on like TNT or or TBS

We missed both Buffy and Angel when they came out, and are catching up now.
Still fun (somewhat dated) shows even 20 years after the fact.

What we have noticed:
The ability to write a fun script without consulting a SJW attorney must have seen so refreshing.

I own both series digitally. Both were really solid. There's an audible series that came out several weeks that includes some of the original cast. James Marsters is the main one.

Love Buffy. Proves good writing will always triumph over low budget production.
