This trilogy is separate from the "New Jedi Order"/"Rey movie" that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is/was set to direct, btw. And seeing as that movie wasn't even mentioned in the big Kathleen Kennedy retirement piece last week, I'm guessing this trilogy is the reason why, and that the "Rey move" is probably scrapped. Who knows for sure, though.

I feel like a lot of the animation has been this way for me.

The Clone Wars generally just punched above it's weight and the final half season ranks up there with the very best of Star Wars
Rebels... Just didn't resonate with me as a concept, but was really good when I watched it.
The Bad Batch just sounded too obscure/unnecessary, but has some of the best moments out there.
The 'Tales' series sounded way too short, like we wouldn't get to really develop with the characters, but they managed to tell some great, emotion-provoking stories.

Generally speaking, I've got a lot of confidence in the flagship animated series at this point.

The underworld is always the most fascinating part of Star Wars. There was a PC game called Forces of Corruption where you could be a third party going toe to toe with the Rebels and the Empire for control of planets, using all these dirty tricks to leach off credits and reduce advantages. I need to see if it's on Steam.

Maul looks pretty awesome. You almost have to wonder if the folks making the movies are stressed having to follow the quality of Andor and this one (assuming it's as good as it looks).
