So GoT is over, no TWD, no Justified, no Agents of SHIELD, no True Detectives. Right now I'm reduced to Halt and Catch Fire, new seasons of Suits, and I'm Arrow Season 2. I have the DVR set to watch The Last Ship and I will probably give Tyrant a chance as well. Anything else coming out this summer on your list?

I will probably check out The Leftovers, Just because HBO.

I'm going to check out The Strain on FX.

Longmire is good. You can get caught up on Netflix streaming.

True Blood

So many people have such terrible taste in middlebrow American pop culture, as evidenced by this thread, and by so many others.

I mean, truly terrible.

The bottom line is that I've eaten at more trendy food trucks than you guys have. I've heard of more obscure music groups than you guys have. I've unlocked more achievements in video games than you guys have. And I'm more up-to-date on epic TV shows than you guys are.

Edit: with regard to cinema, I am also current on most independent productions newly released to major cities, and am typically able to view the films in independent theaters - or, at the lowest end, an Alamo Draft House.

I'll be watching suits, longmire, Graceland, the last ship I will try, I figured I will watch falling skies. The first season was almost unbearable, but the last season was meh, slightly better. I realize that most of these are not new, but the only other new show I would consider is the strain on fx.

Outlander on Starz looks interesting

Power on Starz is good so far. 2 episodes in and it has potential.

I'll check out The Strain (FX), The Last Ship (TNT), The Leftovers (HBO), Tyrant (FX), and Power (STARZ).

Not new but Suits just started back up.

Tyrant looks good and I thought Dominion looked interesting it starts up tonight on SyFy. It kind of looks like the Prophecy, but set in the future.

Redstone was more entertaining when she was less obvious

Is anyone going to check out The Knick on Cinemax? It premieres early August I think.

Steven Soderbergh and Clive Owen. The trailer looks very intriguing.

It's summer

Watch Fargo and Silicon Valley, 10 and 8 episodes respectively, and both are exceptionally well done.

Started Fargo last night. 3 eps in. It's great.

I read The Strain trilogy. I think it will make a good show. Del Toro pitched the idea as a show to begin with and only turned it into a novel when nobody bit

Redstone obviously isn't that high brow if he only watches cinema released in MAJOR cities

No love for "The Bridge"?

Starts back up in a coupe of weeks.

New shows I'm gonna check out the leftovers, tyrant and maybe the strain. Current shows coming back are Ray Donovan and the bridge. Oh and true blood but only bc I feel I need to see it through to the end. I guess low winter sun got canceled although I'm not too broken up about it.

The season 2 premier did perk my interest again. Seemed production value went way up for the episode.

The Last Ship premiere was decently cheesy.

I'm trying to give Halt and Catch Fire a chance, but I can't find much about it I like. Can't stand the characters, boring story line, and I hate it when they over cook the Texas accents.

caught The Last Ship last night and it has potential but already throwing out too many twists. Maybe I just like the slow build up when a show starts.

Halt and Catch Fire has me hooked but then I'm probably too much of a nerd for it not to. If you have a combination of the 80's, computers, and AMC I'm going to watch.
