You make a good point, and ultimately most people don't want to do extra work when it comes to understanding a film. I'm sure the guy could explain it in two or three minutes if you asked him to and still get his general point across. But he presents a really impressive argument and backs up everything with his reasoning. It just happens to take 25 minutes to do so. It's a pretty layered movie.
Like classic books and poetry, there are plenty of essays, books, and even classes that analyze films like 2001, A Clockwork Orange, etc. Even 40 years after they've been released, people still find new things to discuss about them because they leave some interpretation up to the viewer.
Every once in a while, its enjoyable to watch something that challenges you, causes you to think philosophically and understand a deeper message. I'm not trying to say that Enemy is some modern classic that will go down in film history. Or that it's the most intelligent film ever made... But this guy's analysis was so good that he made me think about the movie differently, and I appreciated it. Like I said, people might think it's total garbage, but if you've watched the movie and at least found it interesting, I would encourage you to check it out.
