But the point is the same, none can carry a movie from star recognition.

key word being WERE. both have shown themselves to be viable comedic movie actors.
if galecki wanted to take small supporting roles in movies he certainly could. but he damn sure cant open a film as the lead today. and he has ZERO shot at this film. of course, you know all of these things, you just enjoy being obtuse and argumentative.

I have to say I disagree. Galecki is on the biggest show on TV at the moment, and if he was cast opposite Applegate, I think that's all the star power they need considering it's a well known comedy franchise and you likely have Chevy Chase cameo-ing. (And again, hopefully Randy Quaid.)

That said, he's not getting cast. But just playing devil's advocate.

You know what would be funny?

Pictures in the background of past vacations with Rusty and Audrey with different actors playing them.

Like The grand canyon photo, Rusty and Clark wearing the berets, Rusty and Audry in front of the xmas tree, picture on the strip...

Just watched this crap for the first time. My dad is one of the folks who grew up with the original films so so did I.

I didn't even realize this crap existed until about 2 hours ago. And my goodness, I wish I didn't.

The only redemptive scene was Chevy chase struggling to get the guitar out. This movie is BAD. And I hated seeing Clark Griswold like that.

Ed Helms attempts to copy what Chase did with Clark was so heavy handed and just flat out not funny.

The Vacation movies will forever live as gems for us...just not this abomination please. It all ended after Vegas. I'm ok with that. Lol.

It was odd this thread only discussed casting, but didn't have any discussion of the movie after it was released.

That being said it was bad. Really bad.
