It's weird if they added the asterisk months ago to a "they don't like the title" joke that only appeared in the second trailer. Surely it'll be more than that in the end.

so Ritson was elected president in MCU 2024 for Secret Wars story.

Now Ross is elected president in CA: BNW. I assume he is elected because otherwise the VP, SotH, PT of Senate would have been president before Ross if something happened to Ritson. And the trailer indicates it is a peaceful transition.

So does this make CA: BNW set in MCU 2028?

The staggered MCU timeline is just getting stupid now.

Or am I giving this more considerations than Disney Marvel did?

Hasn't been a single good Marvel new release in awhile. Disney has beaten the horse dead. It's a shame they can't go back to what made Iron Man '08 so good. A good story where the heroics and superpowers came second to the narrative
