A good ending.
The flash forward was nice with the kids playing True American. Reminded me of the flash forward at the end of Scrubs.
I'll miss this show, but it had run it's course. I'll probably rewatch it again on NetFlix sometime down the line.

to be honest, I don't think it had. There was a bump in there with Zoey being pregnant IRL, but outside of that the show was always solid. I am going to miss Schmidt's character most of all and Winston second.Jim01 said:

Such a great show. Probably time to end, but I'll miss "hanging out" with these characters (though my wife is constantly watching it on Netflix).
My favorite scenes are Nick giving Schmidt the cookie or Nick showing Jess his burpees.

I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but it's the Series Finale, not just the season finale?
That stinks! I really liked this show. It consistently made me laugh...especially the little thrown-in comments said under their breath or in the background.
This was a good show, and I didnt feel like it was nearing the end. They continually reinvented themselves.
The first minute of the Cat Funeral had me cracking up.
Poor one out...

Agreed! Another thing I loved was how it would show characters' reactions to when other characters said something weird (which was often!). Not something I've really noticed on other shows that much.AgGrad99 said:

Kinda sad as this was one of the few comedy shows I liked. It actually made me laugh and wasn't cringe worthy.

Just finished finale on Netflix with my wife. Started episode one right after Covid started based on a Texags recommendation. Great show.
And also. Cici. Holy eff balls.
Loved this show. If you watch it turn on the CC. So many random, funny one liners the guys would say under their breath that I missed the first time around.

I mean, after Turk and JD, Nick and Schmidt are the best bromance. I would watch the hell out of a show with just the guys. Zoey Deschanel was definitely the weakest part of that show.
Nick and Schmidt scenes are pretty much ALWAYS a win. The towel episode is still one of my favorite gags.

One of the other great things about this show was the addition of Winston. Just FYI for anyone that discovered the show late, Damon Wayans Jr was cast in both New Girl and Happy Endings. When both series were picked up, the Happy Endings contract took precedence. I think that was the best for both shows because he was so good on Happy Endings, and Winston is a way better character for New Girl than Coach in my opinion.
If you recently discovered New Girl and enjoyed it, give Happy Endings a shot. I love that show, only lasted for 3 seasons on ABC so it's not a big commitment to check it out. The series is up on Hulu if you're interested.

Happy Endings deserved more seasons, that show was hilarious.
Completely agree on Winston. Much prefer him to Coach's character.
