I bet this is leading to how the Nazis of that world have migrated into the multiverse and found our world... and installed Trump as leader of the 4th Reich...

Also, there's quite a few Stargate alumni that have shown up in this season. Obviously not main characters from the show but as an example the guy who played Dr. Lee shows up.

So I like season three so far ( episode 5) and it's clear there's a show runner which season 2 was sorely lacking but it's lost a lot of the mystery that I loved. A little too straight forward compared to the other two seasons but still really good. Just different

Semi ashamed of how fast I burned through this season but the three day weekend helped.

Overall I liked it but it fell flat to me. Everything builds to a climax that doesn't quite happen but also doesn't really even a season finale level cliffhanger

I think there's going to be lasting fallout for Smith in particular, but we are also left with the questions of where did Juliana go and what has she started? I don't particularly have an issue with no cliff hanger though, guess I'm just tired of having no closure of a show gets cancelled. There's enough left open for them to work with.

I do feel like they've pretty much closed the book on Inspector Kido with the execution of Frank. Seems like his greatest foil is gone, and I found him to be one of the more interesting characters on the show.

Overall I liked the pacing of the season. I didn't get bored and it didn't feel stagnant. That was probably my biggest complaint about season 1, in how by mid season it felt like I was trudging through it to get to the end of the season.

since Hawthorne said you had to be dead in another world to travel, Julianna could be literally anywhere based on the films which is interesting.

I don't mind that it wasn't a cliffhanger, just felt like the season was building towards bigger than it ended.

And on Smith The Helen story line dragged for me, I really like Smith and that whole debacle was annoying. Curious to see if Himmler recovers/who the new Fuher is if he doesn't.

I can understand that, but it really highlights how Smith has played the game and the toll it has taken on those around him. I mean he's almost at a point where his back is up against the wall with no plays left.

With Season 3 coming out, I went back and watched Seasons 1 & 2 over again. There is SO much I missed the first time - I recommend rewatching those before watching Season 3

When someone adds a spoiler tag, can you please put what episode it's referring to? I wouldn't mind seeing what people are posting if I've seen the episode....that's why I read these threads. But I'm scared to scroll over anything on the thread because I don't want to ruin anything.

Like jabberwalkie09 did on the second post.

End of season: I think they were really sloppy with explaining the traveling, unless Hawthorne flat lied to Smith. Otherwise when the Trade Minister travels in season 2 he's visiting a world where he should be dead to hang out with them, I don't really remember exactly how they set up the traveling then. Didn't rewatch season 2 before season 3 but it seems like they missed some details with that piece.

Wasn't there also an atomic bomb survivor with radiation scarring that worked for the trade minister in season 2??

Finished the season (in Germany BTW). Seemed more bleak than the previous seasons. seemed like they were leading up to the destruction of the machine so I was a little surprised by how it ended. Think the Reich start tearing itself apart with no clear successor to Himmler. Still think Smith with play a key role in the downfall of the Reich. Wife leaving, seeing the alt realty of his family in films may push him into unexpected directions. With regards to Tagomi's traveling, if you read between the lines in season 2, Tagomi alt timeline self killed himself just prior to him traveling and meeting with his wife. Lots to think about.

I thought season 3 was the best so far. The last episode was especially awesome, so many great scenes.

Just finished Season 3 and for my money it was the best season yet. Only downside is another year before so many loose ends can get addressed.

This this picked up some serious steam this season - with some real unexpected deaths happening - I'm looking at YOU Joe!

I also felt they did a great job slowly building the stage for what feels like the Americans waking up and maybe rising up to retake the country. Year 0 PISSED ME OFF - but only in the sense that even as an American watching a tv show I had a hard time seeing Lady Liberty destroyed. Smith's family leaving him opens up the real possibility that he stages a coup for control of America as an independent nation. Along with working a deal with the Japanese to support that move given their issues with Germany. And sign me up for more alternate earths joining the storyline.

What a fun season!

(A ton of edits to figure out the stupid spoiler codes - lol)

Great season. I am glad that they have shown enough restraint to keep the show in a single (for the most part) universe. I can't imagine the **** show this would be with some like Abrams at the helm.

On a side nite' I'd be curious to know if the final riot scene was made after Charlottesville because it seemed a lot more of a n allusion to the contemporary climate than just a replay of kristallnacht.

Funny thing is it just as easily pulls from Nazi Germany pre-WWII - so it feels totally connected to the idea that this generation of "American" youth who've known nothing but the Reich would behave more like Nazis in those scenes. Which I think is what horrified Smith (as much as you can read his one facial expression - lol).

So what happens if you travel to an alt world and die there, where your alt world self is already dead

He helped the resistance bomb the Kempitai (?) headquarters in SF and was believed to have died there. Hence his burns. Remember he drove the car which had the chick pretending t be the generals "niece" (code for *****) and they parked the car with the bomb in the garage. Then they were walking through the building when they were stoped by security. He was spotted by the inspector and shot him and a guard. Then the bomb went off.

The inspector in the aftermath was looking for him but they did not find his body. We didn't see this (offscreen) but he survived and was taken to this Jewish enclave.

Enjoyed this season more than the last.

Fyi there is a very good 30min season 1 and 2 recap at the end of the season 3 list. Would have been helpful to put that before episode 1....

Finished up last night. Really enjoyed the character movement this season. Was really expecting some resolution regarding the machine, but no problem with that waiting until next season.

End of season confusion:

If someones "other person" has to be dead in order to travel to a different dimension, how did Trade Minister Nagomi do it and have people know him as an alive person in "our" reality?

wasn't there something about him being sick in alternate world? his family was surprised to see him, but happy? clearly he actually had died.

I assumed when Juliana transported at the end that she wasn't able to do it until she was shot, but someone else mentioned that Trudy said the reason she transported was because Juliana had died and she missed her. So Juliana had the ability to transport already?

In season 2 they hint that the trade minister in our world committed suicide by jumping off a bridge.
