It's a shame they didn't wrap the series sooner. The writing has become wildly lazy. There's zero tapping into the original nostalgia that got it started. Johnny still has a great line or 2 per episode but he's the only person with any clever snark. It feels like a Saved by the Bell with karate and cursing.

I literally commented "why is she running like a gimpy hobbit?" when I saw that scene. I can't envision a less athletic way of running on the beach. She should have demanded another take. That was laughably bad.
I was about to ask if this show was still dragging on. Started out good for a couple of seasons but now it has long since jumped the shark.

lol imagine getting mad at a show that doesn't take itself seriously and has good humor.
The show is great for what it is and has plenty of great laughs.
It's rinse and repeat at this point but they are wrapping it up how they want to….none of the actors are going on to have great careers and there's only like 5 episodes left.
And yet it's still an amazing show that brought hours of entertainment

I will always enjoy Hawk Noise followed by a bad ass Hawk karate move
These last five episodes were pretty good.

I didn't see the Russians coming back to start an all out brawl (maybe I should have). That was a lot of fun. And I definitely didn't see Kwon dying. He was a great villain. The smirks, the taunting, the hair!
I guess I haven't been following closely, because I thought these were the last episodes. So the end was shocking for a minute. Sign me up for five more in February!

While I agree with all of this, you might want to edit this to hide those spoilers for the benefit of whoever hasn't finished it so far.
I wonder if Karate Kid Legends is going to be a follow up to this or ignore this.

Martin Kove (Kreese) plays such a great villan. I feel like everyone knows a guy like that; arrogant, overly competitive, narcissistic. You want him to lose, to be shamed and go away but he is always around making it worse for all.
My favorite character is Chozen. It is a great combination of cheese, humor, and seriousness. He gets used just enough that it doesn't become stale.

Finally watched episodes 6-10. I was enjoying this season so far, but that last episode really jumped the shark. Worst episode since the season 2 finale.

Was it possible for them to choose a less athletic person than whatever the name of the person is that they cast as Sam? While a cheesy show, these folks are supposed to be competing at a world class karate event. She's a damn slug. At least make a half hearted attempt!
