I like that it seems to happen completely in the sunshine/day. I've actually wondered about how a horror movie would be without using night-time as a "crutch" to make things scarier.

That's kinda the intent. Especially since it copied several shots from the most recent superman movie. It's a parody, but, like, a scary parody.

Weird that both of these trailers hit within an hour of each other, as they file like two sides of the same movie. I think the same supporting actress is in both trailers, too.

Am I the only one who still thinks this looks...empty-ish. Beauty and the Beast may have been a similar remake, but I guess seeing the castle come to life in a "live-action" way seemed more interesting. This looks meh to me. I'd rather just watch the animated version again at home. Or am I missing something?

Nope, totally agree. Beauty and the Beast hit on something...I don't know if this or Lion King will.

Agreed. "Empty" is a great way to put it. While this trailer is definitely better than anything we've seen so far, it still looks and feels like an expensive stage production of the cartoon. The main actor, in particular, just doesn't have "it" - no real presence, almost as if he knows he's on camera. It's hard to explain. Unless reviews are through the roof, I doubt I see this in theaters.

Question... how many people actually use the OP as a release schedule you reference semi-frequently? I'm wondering if I need to do the same thing again for 2020, or if we have a thread that's just trailers - basically, exactly like this thread except without the OP. If no one ever really checks the OP, I'd rather not keep wasting my time updating it, but if people use it, I'll continue doing the same thing going forward.
