Wife and I have it set to record and watch the episodes during the week. One of the few shows we actually equally enjoy watching together. And yes, Garo Brown is a monster. No way you resist arrest with him standing there waiting to crush you.

They had an episode a few weeks ago where a cop had a taser gun pointed at a guy and repeatedly told him to take his hands out of his pockets and get on the ground.... was middle of the day. Guy ended up pulling a piece and shooting the LEO 4 times.... this was all caught on his vest camera. Cop crawled back to his car and radiod for help... he ended up living. Perp dang near blew his arm off at the elbow though. God bless LEO's.

Pretty sure you're referencing the promo they showed for the first episode of PD Cam which Sgt Larkin hosts. It's a 30 minute block show and the first season had 6 episodes, but A&E has ordered more.

As to that shooting, the LEO had purchased the cam himself and it was a glasses cam. Guy got royally ****ed up, and iirc someone who was near by actually helped him out which probably saved his life. The guy was in a pretty rural area too iirc.

You're right about the glasses cam... and I think the girl who found him was one of his neices or cousins.

A guy found him first. Apparently saw the whole thing and called it in. I don't know if his radio calls actually ever reached dispatch, which is why I said he's lucky the guy came by. One of his aunts, who he has lunch with while on break, had a scanner and heard it all on the radio. She's comes by later.

It's definitely something else the first time you see it.

I lived in Richland County/Columbia, SC. It was a good place to live for a couple of years but there we're definitely some rough parts of town. Keep your ears open for Two Notch Rd.

FYI.

The cheapest route of SelectTV was a total failure both nights.

I renewed Philo, got the extra $3 package and had zero issues on the second night.

Looks like they had good ratings in their timeslot for this first week despite the technical difficulties. Better ratings than A&E.
