Looking to take the oldest and a friend to Spiderman for his birthday. It is rated PG, so would you take your kindergartner? I've seen the previews and that's it. From the previews, I'm okay with it, but looking for opinions from those who have seen it.

I definitely think that it would be fine for a kid that age.

My 2nd grade girl loved it and saw it twice

My Kindergarten boy didn't like it, and he's the one who tends to like super hero movies more.

To be fair, I haven't personally seen it. So i can't give any assessment.

i don't remember anything inappropriate either. there's a couple of sad/emotional moments that might upset some kids, but they don't show it and it's nothing worse than you find in most video games they probably play.

The alternate dimensions went over my 6 year olds Head. Of course it went over mine too.

We gambled with our 5 and 4 year old. 5 year old made it, 4 year old/wife did not. They left to shop and starbucks. I think it's a movie that would have been fine at home but the action scenes were long, the theater was dark, and it was loud and the bass was turned up. A little too much. YMMV.

I took my 5 y/o and he loved it though the plot was a bit above him.

just fair warning, a major character dies fairly early in the movie so I hope your kid understands death.

My 5-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son both loved it.

Spider-Man DOES die. I'm curious if that registered at all.

Took my 3 and 7 yo. Both enjoyed it. Definitely went over the 3 yo's head but he LOVES spiderman so he was glued to it.

I don't let my kids watch most superhero movies. They are 6 and 8. I took my 6 yo to this and be loved. Definitely didn't get it all but there's so much going on visually and well porky pig as Spider-Man. Don't remember ever once regretting it for inappropriate stuff.

depends on the kid. I have a 6 and a 7 year old. They both enjoyed it overall, but a few of the villains creeped one of my kids out.

Took my teenage kids and they liked it. Worst case- wait 8 or 9 years and make a trip to Blockbuster to rent this one for your kid.

They will love it.

My brother took my just turned 6 year old nephew yesterday and he freakin loved it.

Be sure to get it on Beta though as the graphics will be so much better than on VHS.

Then just wait for LaserDisc.

Any idea when this will stop showing in theaters? Want to take my son but only a Saturday showing will work most likely.

We went Saturday and it was in a small theater and fairly empty. You might get one or two more weeks.

Are you guys sure it went over your kids heads or you just assume so because you think your kids are dumb?

My 5 year old didn't get 100%, but he asked appropriate questions which showed he followed most of it and was just a little confused. Once I cleared up a few things I think he was straight on everything.

Local theater is doing a Summer Movie Classics with kids movies on Wednesday mornings. Taking my kids to see Into The Spider-verse this morning. I'm probably more pumped than they are. I skipped seeing this when it first released. I think my mentality was, "We don't need another Spider-Man movie." Really enjoyed it once I finally gave it a chance.

EDIT: Unless I missed it, I didn't find an official thread for this movie on here, so I'm guessing a lot of us skipped out on it.

incredible that a site as big as Texags doesn't do anything about search (it is antiquated but better than it used to be), character handling (accented words like fianc), word filtering logic, bot invasions and the like.
