The dude has toured once since the mid 90s, and that was almost 15 years ago. I'd imagine his body is not in top physical touring shape.

Much different than say, Paul McCartney or Elton who have continued to tour through their older years.

It's more overall health than being in "tour shape" -- he's had multiple back surgeries and nerve damage and has a paralyzed foot.

... bu you know, he's got a 13 year old son and a 43 year old son and a handful in between.

I saw Genesis as my first two concerts. In 75 with Gabriel and then in 76 the Seconds Out Live Tour. Phil started out on the drums and singing and by the second half he was out front, they were still 4 at that point. That was one of my all time best concerts. Phil kept changing shirts from a Oilers, Aeros and Astros jerseys

I still very much was a fan of his solo career, but it was obvious he became mushy and pop as a solo artist. I blame women.

On a side note I recall when I was living in Europe in the 80s listening to Casey Kasem on AFARTS count down Peter Gabriel, Phil, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks all had hits the same week and I think 3 of them were top tens.

Post Houston concert recap.. he did an admirable job.. anybody that is already a fan will have a great time at this show.. so glad I got to see him before he's gone.. he has the cane, sat the entire concert, has some tremors even, yet he still did a drum solo with some sort of drum board with his 2 drummers - glad he did that!

In the Air Tonight got the biggest crowd involvement and cheers

His son was featured with a long, great drum solo that reminded me of the movie Whiplash and then he did a piano solo with Phil - it was great.. super talented kid for an 18 yr old

He did the encore and ... Take Me Home!! Perfect ending to a great night.. looked to be sold out too! Fill all the way up and back
