Btw, Domingo is about to be nominated for an Oscar (Sing Sing), then shoots The Running Man, Euphoria season three, and Spielberg's UFO movie back-to-back-to-back. Dude is killing it.

I'm a bit torn... Excited that 3 King stories in production are being directed by 3 guys with solid skins on the wall (Osgood Perkins, Edgar Wright, Francis Lawrence).

But at the same time, over the last two decades it's been really tough to get behind any King adaptation without Flanagan or Darabont at the helm. Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me 73 times...

Also written by Stallone. Should be a fun flick. I enjoyed the Beekeeper more than I expected to.

I don't think Depp was ever involved. DiCaprio acquired the rights to the book back in 2010 and set it up as a movie, at Paramount Pictures, with Scorsese directing. After nearly a decade in development, though, for whatever reason, they decided to turn it into a big-budget limited series, at Hulu, that DiCaprio/Scorsese would only produce (not star in and direct, respectively), starring Keanu Reeves. But then in 2022 Hulu ultimately passed, reportedly because of how expensive it became. Now, three years later, it sounds like whatever hangups DiCaprio and Scorsese might have had about the movie version have been ironed out, and they're back to the original plan, this time with 20th Century Studios.

Thanks. I appreciate the background. I read the book back when it came out. My wife and I were in grad school in Chicago back then and it seemed like everyone in the city was reading it and talking about it. A lot of nostalgia for me completely unrelated to the story. I was so excited that Scorsese was going to do the movie but I had forgotten it was Leo.

Having read the book, I find it difficult how they'll tell that entire story over 2.5-3 hours.
