I have 3 original movie ideas that are all well thought out and original. If I can do that, I'd imagine everyone on this thread has 3-5 as well. I just don't understand why these "creatives" can't actually create anything.

It's not the ideas, it's the funding. Studios don't want to take risks so they stay safe/repetitive/generally boring.

Same reason we most often see breakout films in horror, they're generally cheap to make so you can afford to take a risk.
