That's my thought as well. It was all they had ... kind of like the people that liked Farscape.Zombie Jon Snow said:91_Aggie said:
I started watching BSG this last month because it was one I didn't watch at the time.
I just cannot understand why people think this was a good show.
Just really bad. Complete change of premises of everything set up in first season. You could really tell this was a case of the writers just making **** up as they went.
Caprica 6 freaking snapped a baby's neck in the beginning... and then later she's a fully empathetic person to the humans.
And seriously, all the dumb relationship sub-plots involving Lee, Starbuck, Dualla, Anders, the boomers, athenas, Helo, the chief... you could tell this was written by nerds who never kissed a girl before.
I'm open to hearing good debate points of why people thought it was good.
Ditto.... I tried...I really tried. Did not like it much at all. Could not get through it.
I assume it as just the dearth of sci-fi at the time on TV and it was the only thing.

Kinda hard to have a serious conversation with someone who still thinks like this. Maybe try one of the numerous NCIS shows that have no character depth?91_Aggie said:

HIMYM
SOA
Two worst for me.
Totally agree with this. It's like the writers had no clue how many seasons they were going to have. They kept writing each season with an ending in mind and when they got extended for another season they would go in a different direction. By the time they got past Season 4-5, the train was so far off the rails it was hard to bring it all back together.Wicked Good Ag said:
HIMYM had a concept that Robin was the go to girl at then end the whole time but the creators had no idea how long it would last. If it had only made one season Victoria would have been the mom.
The problem was it dragged on tooooooo long. The last couple of seasons sans an episode or two were unwatchable compared to the first four. And the last season made the finale a bad ending IMO. Having the mom die was understandable but having the Barney Robin thing as a major central part of the shows last few seasons ruined the initial concept.
The first four seasons I would put up with many of the iconic sitcoms but the last few seasons kinda took any strong legacy and diminished it
They should go out like old school shows and just stop making them. How many people are still watching it anyway?LHIOB said:
How are they going to end The Simpsons?

Firefly...Serenity
I dont mind Sopranos because the episode prior they show the memory of him with his BIL on the boat and they are talking about when you get killed "do you hear it?" The final scene of the show is Journey playing then silence in the middle of the song. We dont get the "pornography" of the violence of seeing a bullet or the shooter, but we do get the resolution of "Tony dies". I think the hardest part is people wanting to know if his family gets hit at the table? does the NJ crew fight on? etc etc...

Barely made it through the first episode and haven't gone back.aggieforester05 said:
The entire last season of house of cards was terrible. Should have ended the season before we learned of Kevin Spacey's bad behavior.
Don't bother, it doesn't get any better. It's almost like they tried to make it as bad as they possibly could instead of trying to work around the loss of spacey. Should have just canceled it instead.DG-Ag said:Barely made it through the first episode and haven't gone back.aggieforester05 said:

Seinfeld is my favorite sitcom of all time, seen every episode no fewer than 30 times, some probably close to 100. Grew up watching all the re-runs as a kid.

I'll revisit this thread after GoT. House of cards was an abortion.

I will never forgive David Chase for giving Sopranos fans the middle finger. He couldn't come up with a decent way to end the show. F him.
