At this point, it seems like The Last Jedi and GoT Season 8 are atop that list.

I think you're right but I don't view myself or my opinion that way. When it's all said and done, it's just entertainment. I am enjoying GoT S8 but at the same time I think folks have some valid criticisms. I am not a fan of the Last Jedi but I recognize it's not complete garbage either.Brian Earl Spilner said:

I think both of those first two movies suffer from their own success. For their times, they were groundbreaking - but watched after a thousand movies took those batons and raced forward, they don't seem nearly as amazing - especially if the person watching isn't putting it into perspective for the time it was made. A lot of older movies suffer from that.Bruce Almighty said:
Citizen Kane and 2001 are others that people seem to either love or think is unwatchable. I can't remember, but I think A.I. was pretty divisive. Clockwork Orange maybe? Outside of Pulp Fiction, Tarantino seems pretty divisive.
I think most people seemed to think it was good, but not near the greatness of Dark Knight. I don't remember many flat out not liking it.GiveEmHellBill said:
Is The Dark Knight Rises divisive? Are there other people like me who were seriously disappointed in that final film?
After the brilliance of The Dark Knight, I found the final Nolan Batman film to be laughably bad.
I think the only people who could possibly like The Hurt Locker are those who have never been in the military or who don't know anyone in the military.Bruce Almighty said:
Avatar was the first I thought of. Titanic is another one. Others off the top of my head: Gravity, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Hurt Locker, Prometheus, Crash, Vanilla Sky, and Magnolia
I liked it until the final third of the movie, which I hated. Overall, I think its Nolan's worst movie and probably the only one he's made that I have no desire to ever watch again.Fenrir said:
Do people really dislike interstellar? I know people that thought it was overrated but I don't recall people that actually saw it that thought it was bad.

I have a neighbor who was a Marine who just recently said he likes it, still not sure if he was serious.Brian Earl Spilner said:
I have honestly never met a single person who liked that movie. I think it's literally just critics who like it.

I liked Hurt Locker and Crash, though I've only seen them both once and don't remember much about either. I thought both were in the "pretty good, but don't care to watch it again" category.
Went with a group of about 6 people to see NBK.Trident 88 said:
Does anyone like Natural Born Killers, or is it divisive?
Personally, I've never been so repelled by a movie.
ETA - another vote from a veteran: The Hurt Locker sucked.
I remember seeing it in the theatre and it made me sick at my stomach. Did not like.Bruce Almighty said:

One of my high school buddies is an EOD Tech and he couldn't watch it because of how wrong they got everything.Duncan Idaho said:Bruce Almighty said:

Same here. But I can get where people in the military would absolutely hate hurt locker.
