Not looking promising for their future. Saw them for the first time at the Houston Rodeo this last year and they sounded great but the lead singer had the charisma of a 2x4. Just stood there. No emotion. Hands on guitar singing.

I heard he had some problems. Looks like they are back.

There is an a thread about this on the GB too. It's really unfortunate, they've got a lot of talent, and I enjoy them. Hope Evan can get the help he needs.

I have seen them 5-6 times. In that they have two of the best shows I have seen and two of the absolute worst. Once they (probably mostly Evan but I wasn't checking that closely and they were all drinking on stage) were hammered and sounded awful. The second was at Whitewater and the crowd was almost too hammered for the concert to continue. They were pretty hammered too but had the sense to stop the show at least twice to try to get people to stop fighting in the crowd. Wife and I left early. They were absolute amazing one year at ACL Fest and one of the best shows I've seen at they Moody Theater.

He was much better on stage the two times I'd seen him before the rodeo. I figured that for the rodeo show he was like that because he'd gotten clean, but it seems like that's not the case.

It's unfortunate. Evan has a ton of songwriting talent, but it might be that it gets squandered away because he can't get things under control. I hope he's able to get the help he needs and the band is able to continue on.

Well, just got the email. They're officially out for the Whitewater Amphitheatre shows in July.

Not just that show...
