I could be persuaded to change my opinion relative to some of his other recent efforts.

Didn't he make a movie that had a chick with machine gun arms? Of course, that actually sounds cool now that i think about it....

It was a machine gun leg, and that wasn't his movie it was Robert Rodriguez's, though it was half of Grindhouse.

Agreed. The movie lost so much energy when the only interesting characters (Waltz and DiCaprio) died. I liked The Hateful Eight a ton more.

I actually think the scene in Django with the KKK dolts complaining about the eye holes in the sheets is one of the funnier things I have seen in cinema in the last 10 years

Yeah, he wanted a lower budget, to shoot it in Austin and use his own in-house effects company to shoot it in 3D.
