I did a couple searches and didn't see a thread. Has anybody else seen this documentary about the comic/magician, The Amazing Johnathan?

I thought it was outstanding. A really great and interesting story about somebody I only sorta recalled in passing, but the documentary was put together so well, that the story became riveting to me. Admittedly, I was a dabbling magic nerd as a kid... But this was just a really beautiful story that, at its heart, was really about an unlikely friendship, partnership, and mentor/mentee relationship that was really touching, funny, and poignant. I really enjoyed it, and it's free in its entirety on YouTube.

Was well done. I always have enjoyed his comedy specials. Wish I could have seen him live.

I saw him when he was in Vegas, in a tiny venue of about 100. His performance was definitely something special. The only way I can describe it is like hockey live vs hockey on tv. His tv specials were fun, but they couldn't transfer the energy of that live performance. Truly amazing, and it left everyone in that tiny audience buzzed.

Saw him in Vegas a long time ago. Like above, the venue was tiny, but that really helped with his style of show.

Yeah, me too...saw him in Vegas in like 06 and had zero idea who he was walking in. Was just going with friends who knew of him. Great show. Small venue...was on some side street near Planet Hollywood if I recall.
