I haven't seen a thread about this yet.

The movie was alright but it is not worth buying a ticket stub to see it at a movie theater. A different and interesting direction that the movie went with on Chucky's origin story. Mark Hamill was the best thing about this movie. Aubrey Plaza was terrible. I think this movie would be better off on a streaming service platform like Netflix than being overshadowed by Toy Story 4 in theaters right now.

loved that Robocop voice cameo in that one scene.

I enjoyed it.

This movie only had a budget of $10 million. It will be a profitable movie.

So more or less I thought the movie was fine. Not great but not a train wreck. That being said, I felt out of place in the theater during my showtime. I was the only one laughing out loud at several spots during the movie. I feel like these were seriously moment where the director was going for laughs but who knows if these were supposed to be tense moments.

Hamill does the best will what he was given. My biggest complaint is that 1980s Chucky is somehow more realistic that 2019 chucky.

This movie felt like an episode of Black Mirror.

No no no. Aubrey Plaza is the only reason to see the movie and she did not disappoint.

Let's just say I think the entire room walked out feeling blue balled. Still a dime though.

No. Almost, but no.

I think Redlettermedia summed it up really well by describing it as a "cover" instead of a "reboot."

I used one of my AMC subscription passes for this one, glad I didn't pay for it.

There were some moments that were genuinely funny and some that tried to be serious/scary but ended up being funny by accident. The tone of the movie was just odd and I couldn't ever decide whether they were going for dark comedy or horror.
