Wreck on the Highway
I was young and this song and the lyrics taught me that there was more to music than just a tune.
"I thought of a girlfriend or a pretty young wife and a state trooper knocking in the middle of the night saying your baby died in a wreck on the highway "

The best Bruce Springsteen song is Steve Earle's cover of Stste Trooper

I can post a hundred songs, but it'd only be appreciated by the The Boss people.

I was there for this, as I followed The River tour.

Looking forward to the 2020 tour.

Never bought any Springsteen records . Maybe a bit too earnest.

Out on the Streets seems to be a good one though,as is Jungleland.

Oh yeah, and Point Blank...very underrated.,

Never been a huge Springsteen guy, but Born to Run is a song I will always break the volume knob off for.

In case you wanted video from a slightly different angle...

Would have been a great concert regardless, but made epic by there being no separation between the PIT and the stage at The Woodlands. Had my beer literally on the stage at Tom Morello's feet.

Wow. That must have been awesome.

I'm getting too old to stand for that long

I did enjoy my seats about 12 rows back.

I'm with the guys who can't name just one....but over the years I've probably listened to the following more than the others:
New York City Serenade
Racing In The Street
Born To Run
Jungleland
Stolen Car
Highway Patrolman
Lost In The Flood
Kitty's Back
I'm On Fire
Downbound Train
Edit to add Valentine's Day. Not sure how I forgot that one.

Moonlight Motel from the new album really hit me hard too for some reason. I think that one's gonna be a classic.

I was at the '14 show in The Woodlands too. Great show. Ely stood in the aisle right next to me for a few songs after his cameo.

If we're including live performances, this is probably my favorite. Absolutely beautiful song about growing up and the sacrifices made along the way, but capped off with the altered lyrics with the whole band holding hands up on stage (skip to ~4min mark). Even more touching now that Clarence is gone.

NYC Serenade. Masterpiece, and he wrote it when he was about 23. This performance in Rome featured a string section from the local Roma area. The look on the faces of these musicians says it all.
