The Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time

Followed by Skyrim and/or Red Dead Redemption 2. Breath of the Wild was truly fantastic, but Ocarina and Majora's Mask will always hold a special place in my heart. Also, I think Morrowind is a more immersive experience than Skyrim, but Skyrim was just such a better "game" in terms of playability and the like. I'm a huge fan of RPGs and story-driven games, so I'll usually get a game and have to chip away at it for months until I'm ready for the next one. Currently playing Borderlands 3.

Been playing games most of my life, and still find time to play them although not as much as when I was a teenager or something. My dad also plays video games still and he's almost 60 years old so whoever thinks they're "for kids" or some other out of touch statement are flat wrong.

I got the Xbox Gold Pass thing, so I have a plethora of games at my fingertips. I'm enjoying Gears 5 at the moment. I haven't played a shooter in a while, and they've gotten better since my last time playing them.

On PC I'm still playing BattleTech from time to time.

many people over 30 park their asses in front of a TV for 3-6 hours every ****ing Saturday and/or Sunday to watch OTHER PEOPLE play games.

Nothing wrong with playing video games if you have the time for it.
Yeah my kids are grown so I have free time again. My main issues as I'm usually mentally fatigued after a full clinic day and I don't feel like activating the synapses again!

Sorry for your feelings. Let me clarify: If you are married, have kids, and work a full time job, when exactly are you playing video games? And I'm talking about guys who play for several hours, maybe multiple nights a week, not just occasionally.

I kind of got what you're saying.

I'm 42 with a 2 yr old and a 6 yr old with one tv to share. I played the hell out of fallout and some other games while the oldest was an infant. I'd love to find the time for RDR2 which I own or Witcher 3 but RDR2 is not easy to drop in and out of. I love Borderlands 3 and BFV (though lately just b3 due to the newness) because I can drop in for 15-60 minutes at a time to play multiplayer or a side quest.

I need all the me time and the de-stress time I can get but sometimes don't have the mental energy for a book or tv show. Xbox or mobile games give me some relief.

Legend of Zelda as a kid. I played so much I could beat the game without dying. Had all the mazes memorized. Knew all the secret heart and money locations.

I did get lost in the world of Warcraft for 4 - 5 years in my 30s. I have kids now and don't have time to play video games. I have four games on my iPhone that I play on occasion - Chess.com, Catan, ticket to ride, and Cribbage.
I don't believe you.

J/k, this game was mesmerizing as a kid. I still don't understand how kids were able to beat that game without the internet to help. I remember there were specific, random places in rocks you had to place a bomb in order to find the later levels. I still don't know how I figured that stuff out...word of mouth I guess.

How many football games do you watch in a month? At 3.5-4 hours a pop, you could probably do a lot of gaming yourself by not watching other people play a game.

The Switch is a great way to sneak in some "pick up and play" game time as well. I'm playing Divinity 2 right now on it. If I was on PC, I'd be maybe 10 hours in, but on the Switch I'm at about 30 hours. I can play during lunch, while lying in bed, or when I've got 10 or 15 minutes to spare here or there.

Pretty handy. My PS4 is collecting dust but the Switch is proving its worth right now.

Nintendo Power. They were really into vertical integration. It's hard to imagine today, but every kid had important copies of Nintendo Power (if not a subscription) or at least had friends in the neighborhood that did.

It took me some time to buy in, but I'm currently playing RDR 2. Hated GTA V so was hesitant to play this.

Witcher 3 was incredible.

Not mentioned (surprisingly) are the Half-Life games. Legendary and still hoping we get another chapter with that.

I'm 45. I play one game per year.

Gonna need Noah to describe in detail how he doesnt have time to play any games, and what he does instead. Everyone has time, you just have to choose it over another free time activity.

I play probably two or three a year. Some of my best friends are big gamers and they try to get me to play certain titles, but I'm always way late on them. I finally played Bioshock a few months ago, and I just started Uncharted this week. I downloaded the Uncharted trilogy and GTA V the other day for like $12 a piece.

I did absolutely love the Arkham Series. Maybe the best Batman media of any format. And the Spiderman game earlier this year was phenomenal.

Breath of the Wild.

Whole family can watch and play. Type of game where you can pick up and play in short chunks, which is important bc I just don't have the mental power at the end of a workday to stay focused on some of the more in depth RPGs I used to love. For example, I want to make another run at Witcher 3, but it's just hard for me to sit and play games like that for very long anymore.

Btw, I think Nintendo has re-established itself in the market place as the one to beat. If you have young kids, it's a no-brainer which system is best for your family. great, family friendly original titles and now they're adding all the best AAA titles, too. I was a PS guy, but the switch is making our PS4 collect dust.
