Anyone expecting a Rage thread to not get political at some point is an idiot. And ever since election night I've been expecting this. Can't believe it took this long for Zack to wake up. Glad he finally did.

Rage against the Machine: Only when Red is in office
lol, ok. Guess you missed the fact that they were around for all of Clinton. They broke up when Bush took office. They briefly reunited during 2007-2011, for part of Bush and then 3 years of Obama. I'm sure their existence and breakups were solely based on who was in office.Wes97 said:
These lefty entertainment "radicals" are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. Raging at the establishment and unnecessary wars, etc... until a Dem gets in office and then they disappear. Only to reappear when a Republican gets in office.
As long as "their" party is dropping bombs on people all around the world and using governmental power to crush dissent then everything is just fine and dandy.
Of course your average Republican can be just as hypocritical on a whole host of issues, but they are just less pompous about it.
Quote:
Morello has been a vocal critic of Obama for a number of years, telling The Hollywood Reporter back in 2012 that he "drank the Kool-Aid" in being swept up by the fervour of Obama's initial election to the US presidency in 2008.
"I drank a little bit of the Kool-Aid initially," he said. "It looked different than any other president, sounded different than any other president and then he acted the same as all the other presidents. If you have war crimes on your record, and you still continue to suck at the corporate teat like he does my hopes were higher."
Of course his political views will be closer to that of the Democrats than the Republicans but even he isn't a fan of that party. So it's easy to see why he's more vocal against the GOP.Quote:
Morello, who recently knocked Trump as a "racist demagogue and called Sanders a "dreamer," said that while presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is "the lesser of two evils," she supported policies that led to a "horrific quagmire" in the Middle East and is loyal to big money and Wall Street.

Morello actually has a degree from Harvard so he's a bit more educated than your average rocker. I love his music and agree with some of the message. But the energy at a RATM show is unmatched and needs to be experienced firsthand.Wes97 said:Junkhead said:

OK, sounds like I might be wrong on him. Happy to hear it.
I agree with his stated views towards Ted Nugent. People that think the political spectrum is a straight line instead of more of a circle often make this mistake.
