Yes, that thread had obviously gone WAY off the rails (due, in large part, to me and a few others, admittedly), but the past couple of days had actually been super chill/civil and we had some good, innocuous discussion going on a variety of Christian-related topics. Again, it was all of course wildly off topic, but why staff didn't take the thread down, say, a week ago, when it got pretty bad, as opposed to today, long after the contentiousness had passed, is beyond me. Granted, I'm appreciative that they let it go on as long as they did, but at this point why not just let it be and keep it going? Unless someone said something I missed right before it got taken down...
