Every year I consider buying my dad a membership to the Jelly of the Month club for Christmas. Problem is the ones I've found are kind of pricey

So here's the question. Does this movie beat out the original Vacation?
it is a better overall movie and more polished. but, it's a super close race.

Very close, but I still gotta go with the original. I think the tipping point for me is the rant. I crack up every single time I think of Clark starting off a rant to his family with "I think you're all ****ed in the head".

1. Vacation
2. Christmas
3. Euro

4. Vegas

the seriousness that the old people sass back with always gets me

-"he worked really hard grandpa!"

-"so do washing machines"

-"It was an ugly tree anway"

-"At least its out of its misery"

"You couldnt hear a dumptruck driving through a nitroglycerine plant"

If you need any help, give me a holler. I'll be upstairs, asleep.

Blasphemy. I've never really had the desire to watch Vegas again. Euro, on the other hand, I will watch any time it is on.

The complete opposite for me.

I believe I've seen European Vacation once on tv, and have never felt the need to watch it again. Not to mention the fact that I've NEVER seen anyone reference it, on this board or anywhere. In fact, we were all big Vacation fans in my family (of all the movies) and I honestly didn't even know this one existed until I was in my mid-to-late teens.

Vegas Vacation, on the other hand, I would watch all the time growing up and never got tired of it. I could throw it on right now and enjoy it.

"Now are there any dam questions?" "Yeah, where can I get some damn bait?"

Vegas grows on you. You have to accept that a lot of the stuff is not up to par, and just accept the cheesiness of it. Then you can start to appreciate alot of it.

Euro Vacation will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the first movie I got to see bare boobies in.

Yep. It's cheesier than the other two, but still funny.

One of my favorite parts is when he gets stuck in the attic and ends up watching old home movies getting sentimental right before Ellen opens the attic door.

"Dad, I think he's gonna pork her"
"He may pork her, Russ"

"You don't believe that cock and bull story about the baby being premature do you?"

"You're scuppered mate, this place is full of macaroons, of course I could get on the dog and bone and call my friend down White Chapel way."
"Dad, he's speaking English"

The French waiter scene, the German festival dance scene, the train scene, among others, are better IMO than anything on Vegas.

Original vacation and Christmas vacation are pure gold

Vegas vacation is watchable but in the same sense as watching a train wreck

European vacation is terrible.
