May just be me but I think Hamm's appearance may have been the greatest guest appearance of any show. Ever.

His Larry David impression was just phenomenal.

Jon Hamm deserves a emmy nod for best guest actor in a comedy.

When Jon Hamm and Cheryl went to Mocha Joe's, I immediately started laughing when Jon Hamm was messing with the table, then the muffin/scone and then the coffee. A great comparison with how Larry was acting in the first episode this season.

I completely forgot... Walmart was a spite store.

Iirc, Sam Walton used to be a manager at Gibson's and had a falling out. That's why he put a Walmart next to so many Gibson's.

The one thing I love about this show is that so many things that Larry does reminds me of my father in law. That scene in particular is something that my father in law would do. They are a lot alike in so many ways.

Of course, as I have gotten older, I relate more and more to Larry. But this scene really nailed it for me for 2 reasons.

1) I had this happen last month. We were over another couple's house and I had to "sit" on a chair like this. I felt like a toddler trying to sit at the adults table.
2) I wear the same exact shoes as Larry David. I would recognize those Ecco soles anywhere.

We are shopping for furniture right now and she is pushing for something like this. I think I'll show her this scene to better illustrate my reservations!

It feels a little too on-the-nose for a season to take place during the pandemic, but there's no way the next season doesn't at least grapple with Larry in a post-COVID world, even if it's not the main plot.
