Jan 18, seems like AMC, Sundance and BBC America all have a piece of it. This is the shorter trailer, there is a longer one online but felt like it might ruin some of the best visuals so stopped watching and didn't post it, but it's out there.
The visuals look to be great again, which made the last one so awesome.

Thanks for bump. I wouldn't have known this was a thing. Family watch night.

Australia was good, didn't have the incredible visuals of the last series, but that's a really high bar. They seem to have gotten back to more of the Planet Earth original model - they actually let you see animals being killed for instance. Some of the shots with the bait ball are really impressive though, and a few others.

The one next week for North America looks amazing though.

I can't get enough of these kinds of documentaries. I'd love to watch the whole planet earth series in an imax format.

I liked it a lot but there were too many commercials and too much Robert Redford.

The North America one was great - awesome visuals and some neat animals. On IMDB it is the second lowest rated one (though still at a 9), bodes well for the rest of the series.

Didn't care as much for the South America one.

Anyone watching this still? The Asia one starts out pretty damn graphic and depressing/tough watch. We pretty much said "let's pause this and maybe watch something else." They kept showing the same graphic thing.

If you are speaking of the walruses, that was in their last series too. They took heat for it for a number of reasons.

There is a more heartbreaking shot at the end, which is given some context in the on location segment. Also a few beautiful segments, and one amazing one with a snake.

The snake on the cliff? That was one of those moments that had me sort of leaning in trying to figure out what was off, and now I'm having the couch professionally cleaned.

Yeah, I'm not often surprised by a shot in one of these, but that one got me.
