Surprised the Men in Black reboot hadn't been mentioned....

Wait. No I'm not.
I saw it.

It was enjoyable in parts, but until you said it I wouldn't have thought about it.

So...I guess this is my nomination.

That movie that TCTTS said was the greatest script that he ever read but turned out bad, can't remember.

The Snowman

I was really excited to see this movie from the trailer, but the entire story and plot was just very underwhelming.

I really don't think there is another example of entertainment media that captured as much public attention as Game of Thrones did only to have a conclusion that was that forgettable.

Breaking Bad kept people talking for years. The Wire too.

Anyways, for movies, this is not a great example, but comparing it to the release hype to where I think public excitement levels are now, I have to say the largest gap would be for Avatar. I literally cannot remember a single character's name from the movie.

I don't know if this is worthy of its own thread, but there have been some highly forgettable / disappointing finales that have basically ruined what could've been a solid franchise otherwise.

Examples:

The last Hunger Games movie. (I really liked the first two movies. Completely fell apart for me in the last movie(s). All that buildup for a wet fart of an ending.)

The last Planet of the Apes. Again, so much buildup to the conflict between the humans and the apes, and no climactic battle or conclusion. Just a forgettable prison breakout movie that is no better than the first movie. In fact, far worse.

The Hobbit parts 2 and 3. (It started fairly decently. The second and third movies just went off a cliff.)

Sadly, Rise of Skywalker may be joining those ranks for me. Maybe too soon to tell.

For me it would have to be Ad Astra. It would also fall under the category "most disappointing" movies as well.

Yeah. I saw that and couldn't believe people had it on this list. I really liked it and thought it wrapped up the franchise (at least that part of it) exceptionally well.

Aquaman - Fell asleep during the ending fight, and I've only ever fallen asleep during one other movie... the first Captain America.

Spectre - For the life of me, I can't remember what this movie was about or who was in it. I was completely lose during No Time to Die, because I couldn't remember who that chick was, and didn't even remember her in the movie.

Forgettable movies are movies with no soul.
Was Eddie and the Cruisers 2 within the last 10 years?
