The jury sent a message to the judge earlier today saying they are deadlocked. The judge has advised them to keep trying.

Actually, they are only (apparently) deadlocked on counts 1 and 3 and apparently will have a verdict on the other charges.

Based on logic, it seems to me if they are struggling with 1 and 3 but have a verdict on 2, 4, and 5, they are going to vote guilty on the Mann/Haley charges. It wouldn't be logical for them to be deadlocked on 1 and 3 but vote not guilty on the others.

It seems to me that the prosecution chose a pretty complex prosecution by asking for the predatory charge.

Why not just try to prove at least one rape or one assault. I believe it was Mann's testimony that is harder to swallow given the amount of time she spent with him after the assault. Mann weakens the dual guilt of the first option and i guess Haley does the same with the other. They believed Sciorra.

Sciorra's case is outside the statute of limitations. They wanted her testimony to add credence to what the others had to say, and the predatory charge gives them a life sentence. The problem with the jury finding not guilty on the others but guilty on charges related to predatory behavior is that they have to find that he assaulted both Sciorra and another victim. It would be illogical for them to find him not guilty on counts related to the others but find him guilty of the predatory charge.

They already asked a question earlier in deliberations about why Sciorra's case wasn't charged separately. They've had her testimony read back as well.

Jury appears to have gone home for the weekend.

Verdict is in.

Guilty on two counts related to Haley and Mann, not guilty on the predatory charge.

Verdict as a mixed bag for the prosecution, who threw in the predatory charge for a chance at life in prison.

mandatory minimum of 5...up to 25 years. We'll see what he gets.

Since he's on a walker, doesn't that get him the low end?

23 years in prison. Still faces charges in LA that could add onto that NY sentence. He's headed to Ryker's right now until they figure out where he will serve his time out.
