Ok. I caved and watched episode 2. Terrible. Just terrible. Series manager delete. Over and out.

Damn that pilot was disappointing. I'm a huge Laurie and Woods fan but everything felt stale and the only joke that really landed was Laurie switching accents,

If anyone wants a castaway comedy that's hilarious and ridiculously underrated find a way to watch Wrecked from TBS.

Watched ep 2 and it was just about as bad as ep 1.
I will give this to four episodes before abandoning just because someone mentioned its supposed to get better by then. But it's hard to understand how this didn't get shut down and reworked before it made it to completion and was aired.

That was me earlier. I did read in a couple different reviews that it does indeed get better and it really takes episode 4 to put it together, but the reviews also said the pilot was the weakest of them and I actually enjoyed it more than Ep. 2.

So I don't know, it might not get much better at all. If you're on the fence about it, maybe don't watch for the next couple of weeks and see what public reaction is to the next couple of episodes.

I don't like the idea that I might be responsible for someone forcing themselves to watch something they don't like.

It seems like things are a little slow on tv now, so I will probably end up watching these next few episodes. They are short, so its not a lot of time. If these were hour long though, I would have bailed after ep1 though.

Just watched episode 3. I thought it was the best so far.

The 3rd episode was probably the best so far, even though Karen (passenger liason customer) and her husband are horrible and get too much screen time. And Josh Gad is just so bad. I don't get him at all. His assistant is good and seems to salvage there scenes well enough.

The Captain not knowing the crew on the bridge were all fakes was great. It was pretty obvious before that, when they would say there very scripted sounding lines in unison. Also, random moments being interrupted by dead bodies orbiting outside was a funny bit.

Caught up with this show and I have to say it's not nearly as bad as the initial posts on here made it seem.

It's not great but I've gotten a couple laughs.

It seems very uneven. Like the 26 second delay, but then in episode two it seems like the blonde was calling the girl in mission control in real time on her cell phones wrist thing. And most the people dress normal, but then some seem to be dressed "futuristic" like Gad's hair or the mission control girls hair.

It definitely needs to find its footing soon.

Spoiler alert: episode 4 sucked too.

Agreed. I did think it sucked a little less than the first 3 though, so at least it had that going for it.

The fact this got renewed is the last straw in my giving up hope for humanity.

Agreed, and yet, I'm still watching it and hoping that it finds its footing, which has begun to look less and less likely.

If it was a 1-hour show, I'd stop watching.

Maybe it's the Belgian quad I'm sampling but I'm finding it to be pretty funny.

I have been unable to finish any episode.
None of the characters are remotely likeable or funny.
A good comedy show should be like "Cheers" or " Seinfield". Each character brings something to the table...personality and the ability to sell their humor with it.
Avenue 5 has the blandest characters, no humor and piss poor writing.
Can't believe this show made it to production.

I really wanted to like this show after watching the trailer. I made it 3/4 through the pilot and fell asleep. I'm their target audience and it out.

I haven't seen this, but after reading all these reviews I'm curious why so many big names signed up for something so crappy?

The beauty of Veep is

1) you can make every episode relevant to the audience (daylight saving(s), cancel culture, incompetency)

2) the characters hated one another and wanted to see them fail, A5 kinda wants character to succeed so they dont die

3) you understand the role of each character in veep, the media guy is the media guy, the scheduler is the scheduler. A5 it's just a cast of characters who dont have any real role at all so their interaction is character based, therefore we have to invest in caring about the character before we appreciate the humor.

It's pretty funny last weeks episode was great especially the air lock scene

Had this one on DVR and finally got around to watching it. There were a few funny moments throughout the season but overall a disappointment. More or less Gilligan's Island in space but somehow less well done. It has a pretty solid cast and I kept expecting that it would find it's footing and get better but it never did. I won't be watching season 2.

The last episode was pretty funny. The best of the series. The line about the octopus having 8 arms and no hands cracked me up.

Overall, it's not good. But for some reason I watched most of the episodes (probably watched 7 out of 10). Kept hoping it would eventually get better.

Because it's flippin' hilarious. Just finished season 1 and I had to pause once or twice an episode I was laughing so hard.

Not for everybody but if you like absurd humor dryly delivered, this is your dream show. Joke style is Silicon Valley + Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Can't wait to watch season 2.

Yeah, this series is so awful that it's funny. The writing is out of this world bad, and the character development is even worse. I've watched both season, had to finish it, wouldn't recommend.
