All this show makes me want to do is start buying legos and build stuff. But it looks like it could get really expensive really fast.

And I don't have kids!

The top 2 teams ended up being exactly who I though would be there from about episode 2 or 3.

My wife, son, and I picked those 2 all the way through, both were consistently good.

And while I was rooting for the team that ended up second, I had no problem with the winners, as they were great at their niche (not saying it for spoiler reasons).

3rd place was the surprise for this show, and possibly put there by producers wanting to create fake suspense and chaos.

Overall, great show, loved Will Arnett as the host, and can hardly wait until the next season.

how the #3 team made it that far was shocking. The woman was the calming force. That guy was a drama queen. When it came to creativity, they were way up there.

I thought the #3 team deserved to be there after how strong they had been coming on lately. I also liked having a team in there that wasn't all about building big scenes, rather big art pieces. They definitely shouldn't have won, though.

they did have an add for casting for season 2 and specifically stated they wanted individuals (not teams).

I guess I'm in the minority because I thought the second place team should've won. I liked all the stories their mini figures told and there were tons of them. Wasn't a huge fan of the concept but liked how it turned out. I also think they were the strongest throughout the season.

Where I really differ is that if you were just basing it on the final build I liked the third place team to be second. Based on the whole season though they were easily third. In fact I think the fourth place team should've been in the finals.

I wasn't a fan of the final build of the winners. The motion was cool but the rest didn't seem that great to me.

Is there a way of streaming the LEGO Masters show (with kid contestants) from the UK?

Can you get Hulu?

I don't have Hulu, but could get it. I have Netflix, Amazon prime video, and didn't see that it was on either of these.

Pretty satisfying finale, I would have been happy to see either of the top two teams win it.

I think the Australian version was actually more entertaining overall, in part because they had a great villain contestant. Season 2 premieres tomorrow - I'm going to try to watch using a VPN.

They need to up the prize money some. $100k just ain't that much money (especially after taxes) for something like this.

What would make one a "villain" on this show?

There's actually a lego channel that shows up on my roku... not sure if it's available in your area

The guy was a self-proclaimed Lego expert who supposedly makes models as a profession and exhibits at Lego conventions. He was cocky AF and constantly tried to one-up the other teams (while ignoring his partner) but he wasn't actually one of the better builders so it was amusing to watch.

Here's a little taste:

That freakshow Sam started out as a villain with the way he was such an a$$ to his partner, but then she turned him around and then he was just a weirdo.

If anyone else needs more Lego Masters in their life, the Australian Season 2 is available for streaming now. It is free to stream (but you have to use a VPN and create an account on 9now):

https://www.9now.com.au/lego-masters

To create an account you just need to provide an email address and an Australian postcode (you can use 6151 for Peth).

They usually air a couple episodes a week so the season only takes about a month to get through.

Bump for Season 2. Again like last season there's a pretty clear divide between the top 3 teams and everyone else. A few surprises in the Earthquake episode though.
I got to say that dragon build from episode 1 was one of the coolest builds I've seen. I'd love to take it apart to figure out how they got the timing right all the way down the tails of the dragons.
